It's a damn shame. Maybe they were never really friends. My best friend of years is gone now too. I could have toned it down I guess. Doesn't help I called him a coward I guess but I feel he used that as an excuse to justify cutting me out.

Be glad you've cut them out earlier than later. It might sting now but will cost you less in the long run. Anyone not awake is not truly capable of offering real friendship anyways, their world is based on the material & base aspects of life, ours is based on blood & loyalty, much stronger bonds.

My boomer grandparents don't like it. My parents have accepted it but only because I try to have a relationship with them and life's been so hard and they've done so poorly that I would be in my rights to not pursue one.
