Now open borders are a horrible idea

But this shit? Fam what we got in place now is just fucked up

Not to mention foreign intervention (not just from the US, but from other nations like Russia, China, etc) has been causing horrible instability, poverty, and chaos in many developing nations all over the world, and naturally, they're flocking to us

Couldn't agree more. Always liked Kennedy a lot, but one thing I will say I fully disagreed with him on was making bureaucracy worse on immigrants. Same for Truman.

Thing is, tbh. we needa start taking care of our own homeless and citizens before we worry about outsiders.

Well I'll be the first one to tell you we give out far too much in foreign aid, and although I don't particularly harbor much of a resentment for (((them))), I will say that I can at least agree they don't need our money. Fuck that. They aren't impoverished. I'll also agree that we need to take care of our own too; homelessness, veterans, healthcare, and especially infrastructure. I don't hear enough people talkin' about it, and its fuckin important. But I also believe that we can reduce bureaucracy in a lot of areas and one of them is immigration

Immigration is a complex issue, especially for the US. First off yes most of foreign aid monies should be cut back or ended alltogether. I say we have Soverign borders and turn way all those who are illegal, regardless. To overhaul the immigration process is almost a necessity, maybe do away with the quota system, but institute a values test to see if new immigrants mesh well with the current population. I kind of like the Australian immigration system that has a clear, but difficult path to citizenship. If we are to take in immigrants it should be bolster our country, not as a charity. Special exemptions for legitimate asylum seekers of course

@Thomatorr, King of Ohio a combination of violence, economic instability (which there is substantial evidence that suggests it was caused by NAFTA), lack of "honest", good paying jobs, no workers rights in most places, etc

I'm sorry but theres healthcare in mexico. She was deliberately breaking the law by trying to cross the border and have the child here so that it would have American citizenship. Our duty is to Americans. Not foreigners with no respect for laws.
