Fething DC has this almost tangible aura of oppression, I swear.

2019-12-27 05:19:18 UTC

I drove through DC on my way South

2019-12-27 05:19:43 UTC

I felt very oppressed during my two hours there

2019-12-27 05:19:58 UTC

Two hours spent travelling at 5 miles per hour

2019-12-27 05:22:35 UTC

Traffic out of DCA wasn't all that bad tonight.. but.. just feel.. off... I'm about 60 miles out and I can *still* sense it. >.> It's like a sense of.. a dark cloud. Every time I'm in this area.. that's the feeling I get.

2019-12-27 05:23:20 UTC

It's the glowing Dark Side @Laucivol

2019-12-27 05:23:36 UTC

@Edog what plastics study?

2019-12-27 05:25:31 UTC

One would think I'd get the same sense off of like LA or the like... but the only other spot that comes close, oddly, is Portland. It's probably just architectural choice tying back to something or another.. but, still. It's almost overwhelming.

2019-12-27 05:26:17 UTC

You know? I heard that same comment more than once

2019-12-27 05:27:36 UTC

Hrm, I may have said something similar before though.

2019-12-27 05:27:51 UTC

Though, I'm fairly sure that's not what you mean.

2019-12-27 05:29:04 UTC

Yeah. I have a colleague that spend a good amount of his time in the U.S as a liaison, and he said the same thing about comparing those

2019-12-27 05:30:19 UTC
2019-12-27 05:31:22 UTC

Well, at immediate thought, both airports have comparatively low ceilings to others.. but as I said I doubt that's the instigator.

2019-12-27 05:33:25 UTC

Though my other immediate comparison is O'Hare.. but I have too many bright memories there, so I'm not capable of being unbiased about my beloved Chicago. >.> That said, that situation isn't pervasive throughout ORD, even as it is for PDX & DCA.

2019-12-27 05:33:44 UTC

ORD is NOT an airport

2019-12-27 05:33:50 UTC

it's purgatory

Nah, it's one helluva airport.

2019-12-27 05:34:17 UTC

2019-12-27 05:34:20 UTC

In one helluva town.

2019-12-27 05:34:22 UTC

Chicago is my favorite city..

2019-12-27 05:34:54 UTC

But I am *__severely__* biased.

2019-12-27 05:35:02 UTC

2019-12-27 05:35:04 UTC

2019-12-27 05:35:15 UTC

2019-12-27 05:35:24 UTC

Erm.. eh..

2019-12-27 05:35:30 UTC

Cowbpus suck

2019-12-27 05:35:42 UTC

Honestly, I always quite liked Orlando

2019-12-27 05:35:46 UTC

It's an alright airport.. but *best*? Why?

2019-12-27 05:36:12 UTC

Big enough that it has decent sized jets, but small enough that it's not a clusterfuck like Atlanta

2019-12-27 05:36:14 UTC

cause, only city with an entrance

2019-12-27 05:36:33 UTC

Actually, I want to like SFO more.. because they have the padded moving walkways..

2019-12-27 05:37:01 UTC

all the shops are for travelers only and no one dropping off or picking up can clog the concourse cause of people movers
