Fething DC has this almost tangible aura of oppression, I swear.
I felt very oppressed during my two hours there
Two hours spent travelling at 5 miles per hour
Traffic out of DCA wasn't all that bad tonight.. but.. just feel.. off... I'm about 60 miles out and I can *still* sense it. >.> It's like a sense of.. a dark cloud. Every time I'm in this area.. that's the feeling I get.
One would think I'd get the same sense off of like LA or the like... but the only other spot that comes close, oddly, is Portland. It's probably just architectural choice tying back to something or another.. but, still. It's almost overwhelming.
You know? I heard that same comment more than once
Hrm, I may have said something similar before though.
Though, I'm fairly sure that's not what you mean.
Yeah. I have a colleague that spend a good amount of his time in the U.S as a liaison, and he said the same thing about comparing those
Well, at immediate thought, both airports have comparatively low ceilings to others.. but as I said I doubt that's the instigator.
Though my other immediate comparison is O'Hare.. but I have too many bright memories there, so I'm not capable of being unbiased about my beloved Chicago. >.> That said, that situation isn't pervasive throughout ORD, even as it is for PDX & DCA.
ORD is NOT an airport
it's purgatory
Nah, it's one helluva airport.
hell in an airport
