no we need to make becoming a nurse in the UK cheaper and easier, while maintaining the same high standards of care & skill. I want nursing to become a vocational thing via the British NVQ (scotland it's SVQ) system

how so? if it's cheaper to train to be a nurse and done via a tiered system, where you are required to do on the job training/residency, with higher NVQs qualifying you to do X types of procedures or day to day things a nurse does.

There are literally thousands of army medics that would love to work in British hospitals and hundreds of doctors who swan off because the army is easier than the NHS tbh
