Bruh

2019-08-26 19:09:14 UTC

Considering science and religion are completely different fields, why should christianity follow the scientific method?

2019-08-26 19:10:36 UTC

The 6 days thing is moreso God assigning roles to the universe.

2019-08-26 19:17:27 UTC

@Iahhel I was showing how Christianity is at odds with science

2019-08-26 19:17:56 UTC

lmao

2019-08-26 19:18:15 UTC

God assigned roles in the wrong order

2019-08-27 12:54:44 UTC

Science does not generate truth, but useful explainations.

2019-08-27 13:20:05 UTC

Yeah I don't see why theists would want to say religion and science are the same

2019-08-27 13:21:08 UTC

you must be small brain to consider that

2019-08-27 13:21:15 UTC

bruh wow that’s so atheist thinking

2019-08-27 14:03:01 UTC

@Deleted User uhhh what

2019-08-27 16:40:47 UTC

<@&588707615643795456> Daily Question 🔖

- What's your stance of predestination? Is it a logical consequence of an omnipotent God or is it a heresy?

2019-08-27 16:52:47 UTC

the free will paradox

2019-08-27 16:52:49 UTC

mmmm

2019-08-27 16:57:43 UTC

compatibilism <:Chad:591182354270257170>

2019-08-27 17:03:36 UTC

God be like "yea I know your gonna kill 100 kids, but im gonna make you anyways and then punish you for it"

2019-08-27 17:04:00 UTC

ecks de

2019-08-27 18:39:31 UTC

@Maksim I'd say that it isn't in any way valid

2019-08-27 19:55:11 UTC

God gave us free will but knows all the choices we can make using that free will
Simple as

2019-08-27 20:13:36 UTC
2019-08-27 20:14:14 UTC

Its like getting pissed off at a computer for doing what it was programmed to do

2019-08-27 20:14:23 UTC

God literally knows what we are going to do

2019-08-27 20:14:27 UTC

yet he still makes us

2019-08-27 20:14:36 UTC

so if someone kills another person and does not repent

2019-08-27 20:14:40 UTC

he was destined to do that

2019-08-27 20:14:50 UTC

and it would be literally impossible for him to make another decision

2019-08-27 20:14:54 UTC

yet God made him anyways

2019-08-27 20:15:04 UTC

that is sadistic

2019-08-27 20:17:00 UTC

Eh

2019-08-27 20:18:03 UTC

Think of it like (I fucking hate this analogy) Dr Strange in the end(?) of Infinity War the whole "I can see 28373773 futures" ye? Basically God knows everything that *can* happen but humans decide which path to go down yknow

2019-08-27 20:19:18 UTC

It's less you're locked into one road but rather he just knows where all roads lead

2019-08-27 20:22:22 UTC

so why make people who are going to hell then?

2019-08-27 20:22:43 UTC

Unredeemed  human beings are dominated by obstructions; Satan, as the prince of the mortal world, never lets go of what he considers his own unless he is overpowered by a stronger power, i.e. God. When God redeems a person, he redeems the entire person, including the will, which then is liberated to serve God. No one can achieve salvation or redemption through their own willpower—people do not choose between good or evil, because they are naturally dominated by evil, and salvation is simply the product of God unilaterally changing a person's heart and turning them to good ends. Were it not so, God would not be omnipotent and omniscient  and would lack total sovereignty over creation.

2019-08-27 20:23:28 UTC

I too am schizophrenic @Shalopy

2019-08-27 20:23:49 UTC

jk

2019-08-27 20:24:26 UTC

Man is essentially dominated by evil and can only do evil apart from God. With God, Man can do Good.

2019-08-27 20:24:48 UTC

can they do good without god lol

2019-08-27 20:26:04 UTC

Bruh everyone *can* go to Hell what do you mean "so why make people who can go to Hell"

2019-08-27 20:26:44 UTC

oh
