ill just link some stuff
apologies if any links are borked
do you want the gene cluster race studies etc?
gimmi like 30 min - an hour
>our political beliefs may be hard-wired
>topic of the conversation is religion
ok this is epic
My father needs me to help him
there is significant overlap
there are no studies on specific religion that i know of
however we can assume that high heritability on things such as
feminism, gay rights, immigration etc will correlate heavily with religion
no we can't
that is still an illogical jump
there are people of the same religion who have wildly different political views
there are left-christians and right-christians
both on the opposite side of the political spectrum but still of the same religion
"there are no studies on specific religion that i know of"
so you admit that you're grasping at straws and you don't have an argument
ok then
regardless
we can see that race and beliefs are tied which was more of my main point
yes im sure that there are such a high number of abortion supporting catholics and muslims running around
beliefs are heritable
races exist
its not unreasonable to assume that since many other beliefs are heritable that others can or will also be heritable
can you give an example of a heritable belief?
read the above studies on heritability of political beliefs
but here is a list of psychometric traits that are heritable and can predict beliefs from bouchard
"we can see that race and beliefs are tied which was more of my main point"
No, your "main point" was specifically the co-relation between race and religion, you stated as much.
Anyone can scroll up and see it.
Just admit you were wrong and carry on. There's no need to pretend as if you were arguing something else all along.
races exist
beliefs are heritable
psychometric traits are heritable
psychometric traits predict beliefs
it is not unreasonable to assume heritability of religious beliefs since we can see significant heritability's in other types of beliefs especially when there is overlap
this is my point
Except there is not overlap because as I've previously pointed out people of the same religion often times have wildly varying political beliefs.
Just a kid who can't take an L frankly.
Your argument holds no water.
are you saying that catholics do not tend to be opposed to abortion?
i dont care about the one muslim whos a feminist
or the little group of catholics in favor of abortion
there is definitely overlap
