I mean in the short term you could argue it was kind of good because it collapsed the gay empires that were Austria-Hungary and the Ottomans and had the based Treaty of Trianon implemented, plus it made the US more powerful on the world stage and increased nationalism in the US and the other winners, and the rise of fascism/National Socialism (short term) but even it had some immediate gay effects like the collapse of the Russian Empire and the spread of communism, but all of the short term positive gains were completely lost after WWII, so I would say that overall it was a negative.
