why someone would want to talk to him is far beyond me
This guy gets it.
>fun
Remember that you're talking to a pedophile right now. Maybe not bring up childhood.
My scale does it through passing a current through my feet.
why do you need to know how much you weigh
It's either 33-35%.
I'm a tubby hubby 😘
im talking to matthew
it's not like he's gonna need to know how much he lost or gained
so what's the point
I'll lose 1 lb for every good post you've made here.
18 lbs? So basically 260
Being as fat as I am is, *work*. I don't have to exercise to lose weight. I have to eat to maintain it. I won't let you down. Daddy.
260, by April. Gotcha.
Losing half my ass would be more than the agreed on 18 lbs.
>being overweight in the first place
25 % is borderline overweight, and considering how sedentary most of you are, it's not okay
the fuck am I saying
BMI, not bf%
funny, that.
maybe by design?
just speculation
there is absolutely no harm in being in the "athletic" zones or dead center of normal BMI, assuming you have a good FFMI.
your a round number
Well, I'm thinking it's a bit like with kelvin v celcius
it's an index, so you could have it be negative, right? theoretically
You could just shift the scale for BMI.
I guess it's unneccessary to adjust.
maybe fiddle with the model a bit kg/height^3 or something
celcius is based around the idea that we like round numbers for the two (for average humans) most important numbers - the boiling point of water, and the freezing point of water.
The scale for BMI could be argued to be improved if the zero point was the center of what is considered "healthy". It could even be divided by some factor so that a value above 1 indicates overweight, though that requires more consideration.
But I don't care and neither should you. Just an idea about a measure that isn't that useful to begin with.
Is it just the dash/minus situation that confuses people about negative numbers?
there are big number and small number, now if u throw in negative number its just gonna make it complicated
And I think a lot of medical professionals like the fact that BMI is well studied, but the studies will also tell you it's not a great measure for individuals.
I really appreciate the perspectives!
it's so funny, that, that the best way of figuring out if someone is healthy or not is to ask them to grade how healthy they feel from 0-10
"best", but yeah
The idea being that if someone is ill, they can usually tell a lot better than a doctor asking questions
Chinkmas magic, all those cold goodless people
