10/10

so fondest memories there

I was playing modded Morrowind when Oblivion came out, and while the combat system was better they super-nerfed the dialogue and quest lines. Morrowind was almost like reading a book in parts, and it didn't hold your hand which was super fucking annoying at first, but you quickly came to appreciate it. It made every achievement feel more significant.

Granted oblivion was too but not really, Martin was, you were just his lackey

probably too lethargic to play it properly now

Console commands / running away and waiting fixes that Marie

COERCE SIDE GAMES

2019-09-20 07:26:33 UTC

@Arthur Grayborn It somehow managed to be outlandish in every aspect.

Also that interface was 👌 . No superfluous tabs, everything in one screen. Oblivion'S interface caused me several aneurysms by how clunky it was in comparison

2019-09-20 07:26:43 UTC

you can kill your class mates during the First Mage guild lesson quest

2019-09-20 07:26:47 UTC

That's part of the greatness of classic games.

2019-09-20 07:26:47 UTC

run away to the undercroft

2019-09-20 07:26:49 UTC

wait 12 hours

2019-09-20 07:26:54 UTC

and continue the questline

2019-09-20 07:26:54 UTC

The not holding hand part.

2019-09-20 07:26:57 UTC

If you want to waste a ton of time, this guy is funny as fuck

2019-09-20 07:27:02 UTC

@Osbornia couldn’t run away sadly and I only had an Xbox 360 at the time

2019-09-20 07:27:10 UTC

So tldr Skyrim was shit

2019-09-20 07:27:19 UTC

Skyrim’s ui was boring and ugly as shit imo

It was great for emergent gameplay tho

2019-09-20 07:27:27 UTC

But that scourge has been hard core in gaming for like a decade and a half, or something stupid like that.

2019-09-20 07:27:27 UTC

Watch that entire series of Autism Cat that Anubis just linked. A lovely romp.

2019-09-20 07:27:35 UTC

Then watch his Skyrim series.

2019-09-20 07:27:36 UTC

I loved oblivion’s medieval style with the old parchment and shit

2019-09-20 07:27:48 UTC

You wanna launch a fucking cabbage at someones head and kill them with it

2019-09-20 07:27:49 UTC

done

2019-09-20 07:28:03 UTC

Kinda why I fell in love with EVE back in the day with its learning cliff.

2019-09-20 07:28:06 UTC

you wanna put buckets on peoples heads so you can steal

2019-09-20 07:28:07 UTC

done

2019-09-20 07:28:09 UTC

@Xaverius - Thing is, the outlandish parts of Morrowind are exactly the parts I like.

Every single system appears to be unique to Morrowind though, even after 20 fucking years. The only bad part about Morrowind is the combat system, which isn't a huge deal if you're not into the hack and slash bullshit.

2019-09-20 07:28:12 UTC

Oblivion's medieval style was completely wrong

2019-09-20 07:28:15 UTC

Anyway see ya!!

2019-09-20 07:28:29 UTC

aight have fun at work boomer

2019-09-20 07:28:53 UTC

Oblivion's high-tier armors were ugly as fuck

2019-09-20 07:28:54 UTC

I don’t give a shit, it was amazing and actually unique

2019-09-20 07:28:56 UTC

Morrowind is perfect now anyways
