Quick big and clean
Like my dick
If they were cheaper then more people would use them, meaning the quality and capacity could increase
The last time the trains ran on time in germany was 1941-44
Hs2 was shite
more like 42/3
I doubt they ran on time with all the bombings
silicon valley loli

Ok anti semite
If we're actually going to upgrade it needs to be world leading not something that would have been out of date 10 years ago
Swiss trains were something elsr
A million carriages, sockets, cheap af
London to Birmingham in 0:49 minutes
That's damn good..
> purely state-owned things are affordable, but generally shitty
> purely private-owned things are excellent, but they strive towards maximising profits, thus becomming unaffordable
So the solution is
> to have state-owned corporation setting the cheapest possible baseline of service so that private competition would not be able to jack prices
Manchester to London in 1:40
Vanity projects, I'd always take the government siding with us to ensure quality
London to Birmingham in 25 minutes
We can always put some faster trains on down the line
Just drive tbh
The issue with high speed trains is, you need straight tracks
Which our old tracks weren't
Hence don't support "high speed" rail
No, the solution is to have state owned routes, which aren't so customer facing, and then have decent competition _on those rotutes_
HS2 would provide that infrastructure
Meaning we could run faster trains in the future
Also it is Switzerland that is a sperg country about being punctual, not Germany
Know the different
So that the infrastructure lasts longer..
They need to just commit to HS2 or scrap it, this half arsing gets nowhere
Just learn to drive <:hypersmugon:544638648721604608>
Half arsing the conservative name of the game
They need to go all the way on it
@Weez Not just straight-ish tracks, you need an entirely different support under those tracks too
Yeah, you're right
More weight, etc
To not pay £60-£82 for a train would be a start
Then take them into public ownership 😉
