Ye no, the Indian gov is your typical "let's reinvent our national identity after we've been colonized" kind of deal. Essentially nativist nationalism that seeks to inscribe itself in some old, idealized national mythology.
They've taken the opposite approach to China
Leftists hate that
they think it's illegitimate because you can't walk twice into the same river
but they're hypocrites tbh
they are the fucking morons talking about how narratives shape reality and truth doesn't really matter
so up theirs
am un fucking surprised that the Hindu's aren't a fan of Muslims
Nobody is
They are fine with them...
They just want to keep their historic and cultural identity as the world around them progresses
They're not actively seeking our a 'replacement campaign'
no dude, they are not fine with the muslims
They're not indoctrinating all children to their beliefs.
it's not a genocide by any means
but Pakistan is a constant threat
it's an ongoing conflict
Strengthening their state is what they're doing
In the long term * ^
Bangladesh is only mildly better
They are trying to forge a national narrative to get the ppl on the same page
even though Pakistan are the aggressors
and put an emphasis on infrastructure development to integrate the country with itself
I read their program from last year's elections
@tea_in_space Not really
never mind the fact Pakistan is currently is occupying balochistan which is pro west
It was the British colonial rule which started it
one of the MAJOR points is "build more storage space for merchandise"
so that poorer regions can get some kind of logistical nodes
to serve as connections to the greater whole
like a huge mistake was creating Pakistan but as they say no point in crying over split milk
It wasn't a mistake lmao
It was a good thing
If there was no Pakistan, there WOULD be ethnic cleansings
Separating them into two separate dominions
no way 'round it
The two countries are split on ethic and religious lines
You could argue for maybe a confederal solution
but the Pakis clearly don want it
