The "official" stats on emissions from china show that it increased by 2.5 times between 2000 and 2013.

It's since levelled off, which I'm sceptical of due to china's propensity to lie.

I'm also not saying that china continuing produce more greenhouse gasses is unreasonable.

I am saying a rapidly industrialising nation doesn't just stop producing more green house gasses out of nowhere.
That combined with China's track record of poor relations with the truth make it so I don't trust those figures as far as I could throw all of mainland china.
