>war / peace cycle
when exactly have we made peace in this decade? its a 'war / minor drawdown in troops' cycle

2019-09-11 17:44:56 UTC

Yeah I suppose you're right

2019-09-11 17:45:05 UTC

War / peace cycle had a better ring to it tbh

2019-09-11 17:45:55 UTC

guys, we cant use the word 'war' thats not PC, use 'military intervention' or 'peacekeeping' instead😏

2019-09-11 17:47:37 UTC

the amount of places we've invaded without officially declaring war would make any number of emperors or dictators blush

2019-09-11 17:48:41 UTC

Caesar, Hitler, Khosrau, Leonidas

2019-09-11 17:48:47 UTC

you know what they say

2019-09-11 17:48:54 UTC

kill em all and let god sort em out

.... wow.... I've never been so conflicted

2019-09-11 17:50:46 UTC

like, holy fuck, what a bad take by both of them

2019-09-11 17:51:02 UTC

I mean, Tucker has the correct position, but that line is so cringe

2019-09-11 17:52:17 UTC

I don't associate the Left with war tbh; it's a position that is held by Warhawks on both sides who get a raging erection from bombing people for no real reason

2019-09-11 17:52:34 UTC

Because Murica

2019-09-11 17:52:37 UTC

i mean

2019-09-11 17:52:45 UTC

bombing muslims is prettyyy fun

2019-09-11 17:52:47 UTC

have you tried it?

2019-09-11 17:53:11 UTC

even so, democrats are only banging war drums because of the "forsaken sovereignty" of the clintons

2019-09-11 17:53:35 UTC

Bolton and neocons want war because its their shorthand for actual diplomacy

2019-09-11 17:54:17 UTC

never heard of a leftist neocon

2019-09-11 18:07:11 UTC

Why talk and meet an agreement with smelly Brown people when you can just bomb the shit out of them

2019-09-11 18:08:27 UTC

Does the ME hate us b/c of Israel? Or do they hate us b/c we overthrew their systems of Government and replaced them with ours; which is incompatible with their religious and cultural values?

2019-09-11 18:12:03 UTC

A bit of both, also the general loss of status and wealth in the ME after 1790s and since the seventies the resurgence of Islam and a wave of religious fervor caused by all the above.👍

2019-09-11 18:12:54 UTC

The muslim world is in a bit of a identity crisis and solves it by doing what humans do best: Killing eachother

2019-09-11 18:14:45 UTC

Good news: Islam is reforming and changing right now. The bad news: this Reformation, like the Christian one, is very fucking violent

2019-09-11 18:23:03 UTC

eeeeexcept Iran was a functional democracy until we got there and wanted their oil. So, close, but no

2019-09-11 18:30:26 UTC

We didn't actually get their oil and Iran was more or less fine until we pulled out

2019-09-11 18:30:37 UTC

The current regime was put in to power after we left

2019-09-11 18:30:51 UTC

after they revolted against our puppet

2019-09-11 18:32:34 UTC

which seems to be a consistent pattern with our puppet dictators, looking also at Cuba

2019-09-11 18:33:05 UTC

Well maybe the Pope should give the Vatican back to Italy

2019-09-11 18:33:36 UTC

or maybe the world should stop caring about what a theocrat says

2019-09-11 18:34:01 UTC

I'd say that as well but considering how much power he has

2019-09-11 18:34:20 UTC

did the pope finish undertale yet

2019-09-11 18:34:30 UTC

The U.S. didn't put in a puppet, the system was already a parlimentary monarchy, and we just removed a guy that took control via emergency powers, I.E. outside of democracy. The people of Iran overwhelmingly don't like their current governmeant and the group that took over, isn't really representative of the whole. It's just that power vaccumes tend to lead to worse leaders taking over, hence why we shouldn't have pulled out of Iran
