or the EU could offer an extension in till 2030 and if parliament doesn't vote it down the gov will have to accept it.
idk what the support is for an extension rn ye
France nor Germany will tbh
Didn't Macron say that he would only offer an extension if we held a second referendum?
That'd be VETO'd be countries @killerqwerty
Netherlands will probably support an extension, if only because any deal would be better than no deal from it
@killerqwerty If Boris got a majority he could just repeal it so we could leave sooner
Eastern Europe and Italy and the likely VETO countries
@Weez did you mean: "that would be VETO'd by EU countries"?
yep, they're not in the no deal fuckover zone
what's to stop Boris from just leaving with no deal right now?
Yeah @killerqwerty
hmmm
I actually dont know
Boris needs to follow the law. @killerqwerty
I think Parliament would need to agree on it, If it is not the end of the extension
so if the EU gives the UK a 10 year extension and the traitors let it through how would the UK be able to leave before it runs out?
Yes.
But that would never happen.
EU countries wouldn't allow the EU to do that.
you're afraid the EU is trying to get you into an everlasting limbo?😂
I agree with weez here, Brexit is uncertainty for EU buisnesses too and by now most Eu states are kinda done with Brexit
If only parliament was able to make up her mind<:why:462286147473637407>
Also, the legislation has a letter attached, the letter which MUST be sent to the EU
The letter SPECIFICALLY asks for a specific time and date
The legislation also says a specific time and date
Down to the hour.
So there's not going to be some stupid 10 year meme
See:
correct, but these days, I mean we've seen a lot of weird shit over the years😆
would be the biggest switch and bait ever
Lmao
If they did then technically Boris wouldn't need to agree to it 😉
I believe in the legislation, I may be wrong, that the EU can make a counter proposal for an extension and BoJo has to accept it unless it's struck down by parliament.
If the EU did make a counter proposal it doesn't say that he must accept it
Let me go read it again
I couldn't even find the text for the bill, so I'm just going on what I've seen around.
