the way i think of it is that what people mean by god is 'the apparent reality of the universe'
jews dont eat pork because 3k years ago, it wasnt safe to eat, so its almost like 'gods telling us not to eat it'
and if we are born with a inherent desire for self preservation as living things are, thats as if 'god says we have a right to defend ourselves'
it was safe tbh, you just had to cook it more
it was more dangerous that other meats
but they din know it
at the time of their knowledge
so if you just say 'fuck it just dont eat that youll be fine'
*Actual* rights are built on baseline assumptions, but if you disagree on those fundamental assumptions, as Doom does, you'll find the concept irrelevant.
youll have more people living if its not allowed
pretty much yes
agreement of the fundamentals
the way i see it is that some modes of being are more effective than others
aka, cultures being better or worse
pretty much: as I said, I'm annoyed by the anthropology they come from, not by them in and of themselves
and so the ones that are exceeding are doing more things 'correct' than not
its like democracy via bodycount over a million years
Indeed
or like in Fallout with their vault tests
I find the assumptions are useful, and good even, but I do see where you come from on the matter Doom. Even if I think that removing the basis of society without a strong (as of yet undiscovered) moral basis to be no good.
well, you can have interdependent but distinct game plans that operate as the 'optimal' game plan withing a give nsystem
thats always the problem
Except they don't monitor anything because they are all dead
game theory allows for different game plans to be viable
show me other viable game plans that dont result in more suffering than Christian/Capitalistic/Free Marketry
i dont see it anywhere
Game theory is the guy that is a cuck, right?
thieves have a game plan that relies on other ppl not stealing, but their game plan IS good, as long as they are not too big a part of the population
and they dont succeed as often as fair traders with repeat interactions
and they cause suffering to others
ehh\
depends
As long as we don't wander back into the "Taxes are automatically theft" territory again. >.>
by the way, im interested by Anarcho societal systems
so im not boldly against you on this
Sup
Interested, yes, but it's a question of viability, TBH @Boop / 브파 / C'thUwU
correct
suffering sure, but we're assuming this matters because? I'm not trying to defend raiding as a viable alternative to modern finance capitalism... I'm trying to say that it is not true that reality converges to a single, moral true path as some sort of progressive destiny
at least I don;t see why it would
