So, I read a review of Death Stranding

2019-11-04 07:58:58 UTC

Apparently it's in a large part literal walking simulator

2019-11-04 07:59:40 UTC

You're a courier and walking around with things is the basic premise.

2019-11-04 08:00:52 UTC

And when I say walking simulator, I mean it. Having to put on your equipment and deliveries so you are balanced because if you got a lot of load on you, you get easily toppled over. Scaling the terrain is an important element too. But shit like ladders means you can carry less deliveries!

2019-11-04 08:01:18 UTC

I played the first half of Black Mesa yesterday and it's mostly a walking simulator with some shooting of headcrabs

2019-11-04 08:18:06 UTC

Apparently most Death Stranding shootangs can be evaded. Also, there's some resource management on top of that.

2019-11-04 08:21:49 UTC

Leave it to madlad Kojima to make a walking simulator into one of the most hyped games <:pepelaugh:544857300179877898>

That hairstyle tho

2019-11-04 13:20:14 UTC

He has no hair and all the hair at the same time.

2019-11-04 13:20:19 UTC

What happen, Bracc?

2019-11-04 16:59:30 UTC

Holy shit <:pepelaugh:544857300179877898>

2019-11-04 17:15:24 UTC

nah, Death Stranding looks solid

2019-11-04 17:15:47 UTC

you can't really call it a "walking simulator" when the objective is to avoid dangers

2019-11-04 17:15:58 UTC

that's like calling stealth games "walking simulators"

2019-11-04 17:44:59 UTC

Supposedly, controlling sam in that game is like riding a bike

2019-11-04 17:45:33 UTC

He'll be in constant danger of falling over which you'll have to manage

2019-11-04 17:46:02 UTC

That sounds like shit

2019-11-04 17:46:29 UTC

Like, Last Guardian levels of unfun

2019-11-04 17:50:45 UTC

It seems to make traversing an open world more interesting than just pushing forward on a thumbstick or pressing w and pointing in a certain direction

2019-11-04 17:52:06 UTC

Also part of maintaining balance is paying attention to what you're walking on because different terrain gives you better footing

2019-11-04 17:54:20 UTC

Also you have to contend with getting attacked by BTs and getting your packages stolen

2019-11-04 19:38:20 UTC

What the fuck kind of courier has the balance of a toddler

2019-11-04 19:41:25 UTC

Apparently it's about trump and brexit

2019-11-04 19:42:12 UTC

Oh no. Did he get woke?

2019-11-04 19:43:12 UTC

Yes?

2019-11-04 19:43:52 UTC

Lemme check

2019-11-04 19:44:10 UTC

Ye kinda

2019-11-04 19:44:45 UTC

He mentions Brexit and Trump getting the wall built

2019-11-04 19:45:41 UTC

but aside from that

2019-11-04 19:46:53 UTC

How and why

2019-11-04 19:46:58 UTC

he mentions how there are people like us all around the world, and that we should empathize with others

2019-11-04 19:46:59 UTC

When where what

2019-11-04 19:47:44 UTC

What does... actually I have absolutely no idea what Death Stranding is even about.

2019-11-04 19:48:31 UTC

TL;DR: The game's supposed to make us realize that there are others like us around the world, so we shouldn't really feel lonely

2019-11-04 19:49:23 UTC

Ok so
