Not much actually since the SVP, the Liberals and the Christian party will have enough seats to pass legislation
Compared with other countries, becoming president in Switzerland is relatively easy. In a nutshell, get elected to cabinet by parliament and wait your turn. This will come when all the cabinet ministers who were elected before you have served as president during your time in the cabinet, i.e. a maximum of six years.
That is true and if anything the CVP voters would vote for the FDP or SVP and increase their seat percentage
I always found how they divide the cabinet up very intriguing and fun to learn about

The main 4 only lost 23 seats and still have the majority,so it was not too bad
Good thing about Switzerland is that any inititive will need to be bottom up.
Yet survey data show neither economic concerns nor immigration, which dominated the 2015 election, are at the forefront of voters’ minds today.
Still relevant though
I thought Switzerland was already green when it came to energy and the enviroment,so I why would it be that big of an issue still?
Because muhhhh climate change
The left can't have enough
They want more action
And now they are going to try to take a cabinet seat from the main 4 parties
Does not matter how green you are you can never be green anough
Greens aren't only about climate change.
True, They're not even really about climate. Just communism....
That is true and at least the green liberals are somewhat more centrist on some issues as compared the actual greens
There was a green movement once. It got hijacked.
Although I only have experience of that in Australia, I imagine it was similar in Europe.
Green movement here in Belgium didn't get many votes, they got pissed and called voters racist, stupid people.
Guess people will drain their swiss bankaccounts now before socialists or commies redistribute their money.
@The Electric Lizard please explain why the PRC is better than the EU
>inb4 muh "China always bad therefore better than a country that's only a little bit bad"

Since then Merkel firmly believes in the multiculti project
What this bitch said a decade ago means nothing, she's flip flopping a lot. Basically the German Hillary Clinton, except maybe a bit less directly dangerous.
She supports whatever she thinks is popular atm, which is ironic considering "populists" are claimed to be the greatest threat to democracy.
She won't drop multiculti unless Volkswagen tells her to.
Just like most politicians, she's just a snake
Every few years her opinions miraculously change, just like that of most of her peers. Like clockwork.
