For example when south Africa was founded by white people, there were no blacks anywhere. Completely barren.

Then south Africa became a powerhouse and all the Africans flooded to it

To what extent should a church go out and try to spread the word and try to get more people to come to your church. My church seems to focus mostly on that and I feel like it doesn’t really work. I think people need an event in their life and a connection with God in order to form a good Christian foundation in their lives what do y’all think? How big of a responsibility do Christians have to go out and preach?

It depends. Jehovahs witness people go door to door spreading the word, and it doesn't do much good for their numbers

The best thing that has worked for my church is a chili cook off every december.

Tons of people come and eat chili and vote on their favorites

It's always gets a few families to join the church, after they see the community at the church

My chili is always in the top 3, and I've won a good number of times :)
