If it passes

2019-10-02 21:22:32 UTC

he got a deal

2019-10-02 21:22:50 UTC

if it doesnt, he can say "No matter what we do parl don't want brexit/EU won't give us a deal"

2019-10-02 21:22:55 UTC

and it plays into no deal

2019-10-02 21:23:21 UTC

Its win win for Bojo tbh

2019-10-02 21:23:22 UTC

It's possible but any extension even if he is forced to do it will damage his credibility

2019-10-02 21:23:42 UTC

And unless he has a masterstroke up his sleeve if the deal doesn't pass he is going to have to extend

2019-10-02 21:24:07 UTC

if they vote down his deal, he will claim the surrender act is ... whatever that legislation he was rumoured to possibly try...

2019-10-02 21:24:11 UTC

The lack of backpedaling, the language

2019-10-02 21:24:19 UTC

and the way parl is scrambling right now

2019-10-02 21:24:26 UTC

I know, I do hope he has found a way around it

2019-10-02 21:24:27 UTC

make me think there is an ace up his sleeve

2019-10-02 21:24:28 UTC

basically saying the surrender act is against the UKs interests and gets yeeted

2019-10-02 21:24:30 UTC

and parl know it

2019-10-02 21:24:52 UTC

what was it called?

2019-10-02 21:25:40 UTC

The Benn Bill?

2019-10-02 21:26:10 UTC

The surrender act?

2019-10-02 21:26:21 UTC

***JO COX***

2019-10-02 21:26:51 UTC

no no ... the thing that he would use to get rid of it

2019-10-02 21:27:13 UTC

He has a few possible options for that

2019-10-02 21:27:23 UTC

it was something thats supposed to be used in times of war or something... but if a bill puts the national interests at risk he can yeet it

2019-10-02 21:27:27 UTC

A few things

2019-10-02 21:27:31 UTC

emergency declaration

2019-10-02 21:27:36 UTC

Civil Contingencies Act

2019-10-02 21:27:37 UTC

Order of Council

2019-10-02 21:27:49 UTC

YEETing it using the SC's own judgement

2019-10-02 21:27:51 UTC

a few things

2019-10-02 21:28:05 UTC

The Problem is both of them would probably be stopped by Parliament or the courts somehow

2019-10-02 21:29:05 UTC

Or of course

2019-10-02 21:29:18 UTC

a yet unannounced method

2019-10-02 21:29:50 UTC

It was a bill sent through parl in a few days don't forget

2019-10-02 21:29:55 UTC

Mistakes happen when you rush

2019-10-02 21:32:32 UTC

the supreme court can make things up as it goes along now, so thats how theyd stop him

2019-10-02 21:38:06 UTC

I really don't think the EU is going to accept the deal Boris has proposed

2019-10-02 21:55:52 UTC

Why is chat dead?

2019-10-02 21:58:20 UTC

uk politics 11pm

2019-10-02 23:24:34 UTC

They won't use the civil contingencies act

2019-10-02 23:24:57 UTC

And I'm pretty sure neither the EU nor parliament will accept Boris's deal on account of it not being "remain in the eu"

2019-10-03 00:16:16 UTC

😂

2019-10-03 01:53:19 UTC

Not too sure where to put this, but I found a book called The Dream of Rome written by Boris while looking for some books to buy. To quote Wikipedia it “discusses how the Roman Empire achieved political and cultural unity in Europe, and compares it to the failure of the European Union to do the same. “
