Its literally an art AI

2019-02-24 01:02:18 UTC

***wot de fok?***

2019-02-24 01:03:31 UTC

Since you have prompted me

2019-02-24 01:03:51 UTC

Someone in another server asked if it could do pictures

2019-02-24 01:06:30 UTC

This is what the AI does to it. Strips it down to as basic as it can make it. Then you direct it how to colour it. There are more advanced tools as well. Normally I manually touch up the image that gets put out.

This was a 5 minute effort to produce 2 images, including the 30~ish second processing time

2019-02-24 01:08:34 UTC

This is one I actually put effort into that I made a long while ago:

2019-02-24 01:27:41 UTC

When I found this thing I did unironically go: wtf I love ai now

So, you recolour artwork using a bot and post it here, Comando? That's not very OC.

2019-02-24 23:47:09 UTC

It is rather OC. It is you creating something that did not before exist. Additionally existing colours present in art tend to effect the quality of any colouring done. None of the things I posted before were originally coloured.

2019-02-25 00:03:56 UTC

Donut Steel.

2019-02-25 00:10:03 UTC

That applies to a piece of art which currently exists, and deliberately recolouring it, as opposed to adding colour to something which prior had none.

2019-02-25 01:39:46 UTC

@Comando so, you are a colour artist?

2019-02-25 01:40:38 UTC

Not really. I pretty much picked it up to colour in Tanya sketches

2019-02-25 01:44:21 UTC

Still, good stuff. My colour theory sucks, I just can't get nuances right.

2019-02-25 01:44:32 UTC

i have a bad monitor

2019-02-25 01:47:41 UTC

'ere we go

2019-02-25 01:48:02 UTC

Open the link, as its a gallery to multiple images

2019-02-25 01:48:16 UTC

I did put an entire manga through

2019-02-25 01:54:56 UTC

Not sure how good idea it is to share an entire manga here unless it is in public domain

2019-02-25 01:55:30 UTC

Interesting. The pallete image definitely has a different feel to a lot of the pages while at the same time it's clear it's the base. But what Skip said.

2019-02-25 02:01:30 UTC

This would be covered under fair use due to the transformative nature of what I did to it. More informally manga is easily accessible online, and take downs aren't levelled at sites hosting manga, unless they're making a profit off of it in practice.
I don't intend making a habbit of it though.

2019-02-25 02:05:11 UTC

I just know this would be illegal where I live but extremely unlikely to get you into trouble.

2019-02-25 02:07:49 UTC

copyright is a failed system that needs to be done away with anyway for the good of mankind, otherwise the only ones benefiting from the system is those in china who do not listen to the international 'laws'

2019-02-25 02:08:25 UTC

You can discuss that topic in particular elsewhere

2019-02-25 02:08:44 UTC

^

2019-02-25 02:09:33 UTC

I'm only speaking about this, as its literally to defend what I've posted.

2019-02-25 02:10:54 UTC

Yeah, discussion about art is allowed, as is discussion derived thereof, but only to a certain extent. Very broad and general topics like the usefulness of copyright is better discussed elsewhere, Iā€™m afraid.

2019-02-25 02:11:14 UTC

But discussing things like colour theory, technique, style etc. is fine

2019-02-25 02:15:31 UTC

A discussion worth having in the server management that where the lines should be drawn in cases like this. There was a case of a person posting a whole shrek movie here some months ago and having it color shifted would likely change very little in that case.

2019-02-25 02:16:25 UTC

Something to think about for the sake of existance of the server.

2019-02-25 02:24:49 UTC

Fair point. We will have to look up what fair use counts as suitably transformative and come up with sme guidelines. Certainly full feature colour-shifted Shrek would not qualify.

2019-02-25 02:34:41 UTC

Question:
If it's my art, can I post lewd images?
To be specific, neither of the private parts is truly visible, but the girl's naked.

2019-02-25 02:35:25 UTC

Channel is not marked nsfw so server/discord rules still apply here.
