for a generation
and after that leaders death
the people could elect a new leader based on their issues
not the previous generations issues
According to what? After the supreme leader is in power, the whole game of how he got there changes. There is no going back. No 'backsies'.
he can't go back correct
that leader will serve the people for the rest of his life
This is why Anarchism is best. No short term ends. Just one person and their commitment against dominance.
yes
but you must remember
the people can not defend themselves
not well atleast
even now one of the main purposes of government is to defend the people
Let me burst a bubble for you. What you have in your head about 'things' making people more powerful and being able to achieve things, are just imaginary power structures. What is really being done here but the re-arranging of duties in people's lives? This sacred thing you call 'government' is just made up of people pointed in a certain direction. We shouldn't limit ourselves to being controlled by this idea, but take it and realise it was the 'people' making this happen all along.
I understand the government is made by the people
it is made to defend and assist the people
Defence of what?
of the people inhabiting the land of the government
imagine
if there was an anarchist society
this means
no coherent military
no military funding or construction
now
if said society gets invaded
they are screwed
they cant produce enough to counter the enemy
actually
they could not produce at all
Anarchism is not a society or a system, it is just the negation of systems. People are free to achieve and cooperate much more than a petty government instruction.
yes
but having that eliminates the possibility of a military
due to a military is a government upon itself
Military is just like government. The status quo in social relations.
yes
so a military is effectively impossible in an anarchy
In the traditional sense, of course.
is there a non traditional sense?
Raiders.
Offence vs defence remember?
