Tor is top if you have VPN.
Some of us use linux
I have chrome installed on my Linux boxes, but I solely for the occasional streaming service that uses DRM. Also in the past to use Flash before that was discontinued at the end of 2020.
I use chrome just for streaming but the rest... Brave or firefox
Tor is only when you get VPN.
Firefox is my go-to browser
What VPN do you use? I use ProtonVPN
we call that telemetry it's less damning
I don't use a VPN right now as I'm searching one like maybe NORDVPN and I'm studying for certifications
All I know is my go-to browser is Brave and Firefox
whyd you post this
😎
Well then just use Linux?!
You don't need an extra vpn for tor. Just use the build in Layer.
I use brave after that whole censorship stuff and statement from Firefox
Using Nord it is actually pretty good. You can use TOR features without tor like using onion links ab being harder to track with the Onion VPN option built in.
WTF kind of BS list puts firefox above TOR for privacy? TOR is literally firefox but reconfigured to MAXIMUM privacy! I would NOT trust that list.
I guess it's due to using Tor makes you suspicious according to some
And firefox is basically Brave kinda
no... not at all
They are completely different browsers
And neither brave nor firefox are that good for privacy, better than opera or chrome absolutely, but Pale Moon (Privacy firefox) Or ungoogled chromium (Privacy chrome) are far better
but if you arent paranoid it doesnt really matter
As long as you dont use opera because its literally owned by the chinese XD
I heard lol. Thanks for the two browsers.
np, ungoogled chromium can be a PITA to find sometimes, heres the link for it
you'd want the Windows 64ibit installer
Opera's data is still being handled through Norway, with EU laws. The Chinese corporation is not directly involved with their actual operations
How am i supposed to trust that? its a chinese corporation, of course they would say that!
In any case using a browser thats open source like ungoogled chromium or pale moon is a much better bet for privacy
since people can actually vet the code
Do you know if Pale Moon has support for regular Firefox extensions?
I dunno, maybe legal filings within Norway and the EU
Which specific extensions? It is based on pre-quantum firefox
ooooo ok. NoScript, AdBlock/uOrigin mostly. They have pre-quantum versions out there I assume
uBlock origin just go to their girthub releases and use firefox-legacy
palemoon doesnt like noscript and blocks it by default, but theres a guide to get it in there
Thanks for the info my dude
