Just try to read like 10 chapters a day, don’t burn yourself out on it
Any of you lads read the republic?
@Martin_Luther I’ve read some it for school, long book but the ultimate idea of philosopher king shows that monarchy is the most stable form of government
I just finished Cuckservative
A great read
Will look forward to trying to get my boomer dad to read it
@AngloCelticRebel Shit , never thought of Vod day as a good gateway but I think your right
@Metaphysical Monarchist it was thanks to @DeplorablePapa he gave me the idea to use it as its what worked for him
@AngloCelticRebel I always thought you gotta start cucks with Crowder, then Tucker etc but Vox truly is a great starting point for traditionalism/nationalism
>christian reading list doesn't have Nihilism: The Root of the Revolution of the Modern Age
Incomplete
holy shit
why is the bell curve so big
*slaps book* this thing can hold alot of facts
Thank you for the book list
tfw tried reading Evola and its too autistic
boi
Its basically just all occult larping. I didn't try the more political stuff like matr and ride the tiger, but I read all or most of 3 others and his idea of the way the world works is basically just goofy. There are probably fragments of truth here and there in the picture he paints but its really no more than just wacky occult shit once you get past the superficial stuff
@Mephisto Did you read me amongst the ruins?
no but I have it, I decided to take a break and just started on guenon
is Matr better
Men amongst the ruins is the best imo
About traditionalism
I read the hermetic traditon, like 2/3 or doctrine of awakening and I got half way through Revolt before I decided I was getting much out of it
Connection of people to the land their ancestors settled
Yeah some of his stud is way out there
A bit of Heidegger and Nietzsche is maybe berter
I dunno any Christian philosophers that fit the mood of them Do you?

Yeah fundamentally its basically just saying that the perennial truth is that the elite can reach an "unconditioned state" that makes them greater than God and allows them to transcend all abstractions, order/chaos and what not. It also makes you immortal essentially.
Thats his spiritual belief
I've been reading Nietzsche as well, started the Gay Science and I really like it, I've just been reading it slowly.
There's Fr Seraphim Rose who was inspired by Guenon to become Orthodox but I'm pretty sure he wasn't technically in the traditionalist school
and then Coomaraswamy (probably spelling it wrong) was an Indian traditionalist who became Catholic
With Nietzsche
His best are Genolgy of morala
I own a copy of men among the ruins
And Thus spoke Zarathustra
The concept of the last men is literally where we are today
and I listened to some lectures on genealogy of morals, but havent read it, the beginning of the gay science is all I've read.
I want to read his complete works, but I'm learning German so I'm going to wait to read him until I'm proficient enough to read it in the original language
and so much of what he says is where we are today
Heidegger is also German
Also worth reading
Both better than Evola imo
