Pretty much
Stand on the side of the road where cars are going in the direction you want to go in
ehhjj
That sounds like it could be risky. Not in the sense that someone will kill me, but what if I just don't get anyone to stop and I end up wasting the money I paid for the event ticket?
That is usually fine in a specialized locale where it is understood (the Appalachian trail f'rex) but just fucking around I-5 or I-90???
@Jacob good point. You could take an Uber
The cost would be insane
I don't know if Ubers even go that far
I took a 170$ Uber ride once
Ubers go as far as the driver is willing to go but that would cost a ton
Apparently the application stops you from going over 4 hours
To get from my house to a friend's wedding in a remote location with no public transport around
Interesting yeah I think that was like an hour and change
lol getting across Washington would be hundreds
if any driver is even willing to do that
There have to be busses between cities though right?
Like a Spokane -> Seattle bus or something?
yes there's buses
I wanted to take AmTrak, but it doesn't really work with my schedule
Then Uber from someplace way closer
I promised myself I would never take Greyhound again after experiencing AmTrak, but I might just have to do Greyhound since I'm on a tight schedule
I suggest taking off work and taking the train
I'm in school unfortunately
Alright take off school
I'm already skipping one day
So what's another day?
I would just take the greyhound
Look at the Kavanaugh thing, they're delaying that for months
Well, it's not so much that, it's that the AmTrack comes after midnight when I have class in the morning, and if I get there that late, I won't be able to take the bus from the AmTrak station to my rural area.
I guess I could take AmTrak plus Uber
Yeah Amtrak + Uber makes sense
A lot of taxis will hang around train stations waiting for people to get off too
Bolt Bus isn't available
shit, uber costs $33 from the station to my house
might be worth it though
I could probably cut my cost significantly by using Lyft instead, and using the rideshare
Yeah, I'm basically with you that I would never take a bus again I did that through grad school to save tens of dollars, what a waste of discomfort
People go from Spokane to Cheney all the time, so there's a good chance they'll find someone to share the ride with
AmTrak is like $10 more expensive than a bus and orders of magnitude more enjoyable. So worth it.
