I'm sure as the Notre dame is on the UNESCO world heritage site list there is law's that state tell to what you are allowed to do to a building of such nature and irr the laws are inflexible and state it need to be restored as close as possible to the original building
that is true, still they have to find away around the local laws they did put on them self. and that is going to run the system as I do know a lot of people that want that system gone as it stops them from developing projects because a famous person in the 1800 did shit in a outhouse on their property

@Nordhand Also people tend to forget the Catholic Church still owns and operates out of it. It was still having sunday mass, and was the seat of the French Archbishop. So....Prolly not.
Did see that one of the last persons to leave Notre dame under the fire was a priest that was holding a sermon that day.
@Goblin_Slayer_Floki if I remember recently, the French government owns the building, but the Archdiocese has a perpetual lease to run and maintain the site.

But I agree the cathedral's pre fire design should be respected
to be fair the Eiffel Tower was basically just a mega radio antenna.
It wasn't even meant to be permanent.
