yes.... yes indeed... Wakanda forever...
WE just had the semi-annual Mormon Conference in which the President and Prophet of the Mormon Church announces the new LDS Temples that will be built: Check out this list of freaking trashy non-white places... gosh dang it (besides California and New Zealand)! Mendoza, Argentina; Salvador, Brazil; Yuba City, California; Phnom Penh, Cambodia; Praia, Cape Verde; Yigo, Guam; Puebla, Mexico; Auckland, New Zealand; Lagos, Nigeria; Davao, Phillippines; and San Juan, Puerto Rico.
😤
just keep tithing.... tithe it all away to the nonwhite churches
exactly the reason I only buy books from the church I go to instead of giving to the collections
not really much you can do except voice discontent
my local Bishop has been on my case because i have stopped paying my tithe a long time ago. I am not going to give a dime to this apostate Church which has forsaken its history and doctrines. Gosh dang it I am so mad !
how long has LDS been pivoting in this direction? a year? @Grayson I remember seeing some stuff in the news about it in the past
I am so ..... disgusted and disappointed... They are slowly trying to rebrand themselves.... it is pathetic.
things started going downhill from here!! F* that day !!
so we went from this:
we went from this
to that list of new temples!
at least you dont have a national black LDS congress yet xD
the spanish offered freedom to blacks who converted to catholicism way back when in Florida
the whole spanish situation with the catholic church and the conversos and blacks has been... not too great
Poor Brother Young.... he must be turning in his grave!
and these are newly called General Authorities announced in this last Conference.
Universalism is cancer
If some of the top church leaders did, that would be a great thing, but I doubt very many people would be ready to split off on their own
@TMatthews some did !! and they started the Fundamentalist Mormon splinter group which still does not allow non-whites to be baptized in their church and live in these communities where everybody is white and they don't allow other races in
I was under the impression that FLDS left earlier over the issue of polygamy
yes you are very correct; they split over the principle of polygamy and the doctrine on the blacks
From my understanding, they pretty much isolate themselves in remote communities. We need in between denominations that are pro-white but can still be a part of society at large. Not just for Mormons but Christians in general
two great schisms took place in the Mormon Church; one over the principle of Plural marriage when hundreds of members left the Church to be able to continue the practice and the second one was when the Church announced that non-whites could now be baptized and receive the priesthood.
Okay change of topic, ladies and gentlemen.
@Phillip Wiglesworth - FL what is wrong with discussing this stuff? we are not arguing or being disrespectful or anything like that? this policying is uncalled for. i have seen people engaging in much dumber discussions that went on for hours.
R3 @Grayson , please change topic. Thank you 😃
@Grayson When you joined this server, you agreed to abide by its rules. Please re-read rule 3 and rest assured that each and every rule exists because we had problems without it. I realize the rules may sometimes step on toes or interrupt perfectly civil conversations, but I ask you to believe me that long experience has taught us of the need for each and every rule.
It's one of the unfortunate disadvantages of having a large group that we're forced to deal more with the behavior of the masses rather than that of individuals.
my apologies.
So ya, sorry for my - what probably seemed abrupt - topic change request there. My two oldest kids were fighting and I was dealing with that at the same time and I knew this was an easier thing to deal with briefly.
There's an unofficial server for religion discussions but I don't even know who the admin is anymore.
It's kinda dead.
There he is
The glorious thing about IE is that we all have a common goal, even though we really are _diverse_ in the sense that religion, politics, and that sort of stuff is all over the spectrum within the org. As Admin said, some topics just lead down a road that are distracting from the common goal and better left to discussing elsewhere.
I feel like these discussions are okay if you keep it civil and people who might be offended can opt out, so reviving that might work. Ultimately though, I doubt anyone will change their religious beliefs based on a discord chat and it might just be counter-productive
Sorry guys, i thought that as long as it did not get heated we were good... but it was a good reminder. I appreciate you reminding me of rule 3. We are all in this together, i consider you guys all family
