He wasn't negotiating with the terrorist, he was giving commands for him to surrender. There's absolutely no reason to make himself vulnerable when he's supposed to be intimidating and controlling the terrorist.

2018-04-23 21:45:44 UTC

"It all worked out in the end", yes, but not thanks to the cop.

2018-04-23 21:53:49 UTC

**you're a fucking idiot**

2018-04-23 21:54:00 UTC

Nice argument bro.

2018-04-23 21:54:13 UTC

you said the cop didn't have a gun, which he did, now you're saying the suspect had a gun, which he didn't

2018-04-23 21:54:23 UTC

you're making shit up and doubling down on it

2018-04-23 21:54:27 UTC

ya'll

2018-04-23 21:54:30 UTC

calm down

2018-04-23 21:54:45 UTC

The video I posted doesn't show the cop holding a gun out towards the terrorist.

2018-04-23 21:55:24 UTC

the video I posted, which is not from a helo, shows the cop draw a gun, take a step back, and the proceed towards the suspect after he let's him know he's going to shoot if he doesn't get his ass on the ground

2018-04-23 21:55:32 UTC

you're calling him a coward, and you deserve to be called out

2018-04-23 21:56:15 UTC

Reeee

2018-04-23 21:56:22 UTC

The video you posted, the cop gets out, then takes the time to reach back in to turn the siren off, before he starts paying attention to the terrorist.

2018-04-23 21:56:49 UTC

He cowered away, yes.

2018-04-23 21:56:53 UTC

this went from 0 - wtf in about three message exchanges 🀣

2018-04-23 21:57:10 UTC

If a criminal is threatening you, after attempting to murder people, and you walk backwards, you're cowering away.

2018-04-23 21:57:17 UTC

@Reaps yep

2018-04-23 21:58:05 UTC

That cop might have thought himself brave, then he realized "oh shit what did I get myself into", and was "oh shit oh shit" right until the terrorist hesitated and started walk backwards.

2018-04-23 21:58:25 UTC

That's the **only** point where there was any indication that he didn't intend to kill the cop.

2018-04-23 21:58:44 UTC

you've gone full retarded

2018-04-23 21:59:11 UTC

Keep grasping at straws.

2018-04-23 21:59:23 UTC

Point to one thing I said that's false.

2018-04-23 21:59:25 UTC

Time to mute a channel

2018-04-23 21:59:47 UTC

autisim strikes again

2018-04-24 10:59:59 UTC

I don't think it qualifies as news though.

2018-04-24 11:02:37 UTC

>The driver, who was identified as Alek Minassian, 25, was in custody after initially refusing to surrender.

2018-04-24 11:02:44 UTC

I totally thought that terrorist was trying to get the cop to shoot him, the way he waved that black thing in his hand then pointed it at the cop. It looked like he *wanted* the cop to think he was pointing a gun at him so he'd be shot.

2018-04-24 11:02:57 UTC

I was very confused why that cop didn't shoot him.

2018-04-24 11:03:40 UTC

If you watch the video from the nearby car, you'll see he rushed out of the vehicle, then reaches back in, to turn the siren off. He was clumsy, at the very least.

2018-04-24 11:03:58 UTC

Then he runs away from the cover of his car.

2018-04-24 11:04:31 UTC

He's only not dead because the terrorist wanted to suicide by cop, and not score extra kills.

Nearly 3 km of rampage.

2018-04-24 11:06:32 UTC

Seriously, that cop was obviously clumsy for whatever reason.

2018-04-24 11:07:32 UTC

Looks like one of those cops who doesn't appreciate the gravity of the situation. How could you if you'd allow someone to point what could very well be a gun at you?

2018-04-24 11:07:35 UTC

Isn't it nice, that he saved the life of the terrorist that mowed down at least 10 people, with still more at risk of dying?
