Any dog with a history of being a 'working dog' is generally a safe bet when it comes to obedience and being around children.

I kind of like the idea of having two family dogs: one that's jacked, and can mess up intruders, and I'm also curious about border collies, because I've heard and read that they're uncannily intelligent and emotionally perceptive...

I worry if I get a Rhodesia ridgebacks it is just LARPing. Good thing I look terrible in short shorts?

be careful, there are sometimes weird litigious clauses on bill of sale of purebreds that relinquish ownership of puppies to parent's breeders.
