that i am aware of
oh shit
literally gave you who you just said
lol
i don't think marxist feminists have the same reach of these sorts of rainbow capitalist feminists whose rhetoric has been taken on by third way politicians like clinton and trudeau
Also, like I said, many progressives do not understand that their ideology is somewhat marxist in similarity, but if you trace back it's ideological roots, that is where it leads.
also on the professor comment i would like to point out that students tend to be more radical than their professors, the narrative that the radicalism of college students represents some sort of gramscian march through the institutions is not well substantiated imo

this is 1block from my house

why though
Example: My sister is a full blown progessive, and says she is not a marxist, yet many of the ideas she espouses are blatantly marxist.
like what
classless society
equality of outcome
wealth redistribution
etc...
nice
well first of all wealth redistribution isn't inherently marxist and marxism is not about "equality of outcome" and marx explicitly wrote that equality of outcome would not exist under socialism
i suppose a classless society would be more on the money, though this was something utopian socialists who were harshly criticized by marx advocated for as well
and yes, she is also a utopian, which is surprising considering we read almost exactly the same books criticizing utopianism growing up.
but you also said he supported classles society, so just because he criticized them doesn't mean he disagreed with them on everything, as you yourself stated.
sure and i mean liberals and fascists don't disagree on everything
liberalism and fascism are still distinct ideologies
sure, but the point is that marx still advocated for classless society, so saying he criticized other ideologies for other things is moot.
i don't disagree with liberals on everything but i'm still opposed to liberalism
yeah but what i'm saying is that advocating for a classless society isn't inherently marxist
what would you consider your ideology btw?
not inherently, but it is still part of marxism, and everything else she says leads me to believe she just doesn't realize she is at-least partially marxist in her believes.
i usually just say socialist
without adjectives
I would put my sister probably closer to you then on the scale.
well i'm not a progressive
but anyways
not exactly like you though, I'd say she progressive socialist with a dash of marxism and a sprinkle I don't fucking know.

This has been a good discussion, but I gotta go
see ya
i do agree that there are progressives who are anti-capitalist and you could say there is overlap between progressives and marxists, however, would you say that the majority of "SJW" types are anti-capitalist or marxist?
answer that question before u go
