I had one in college. He made everyone build a CPU in an entry level course with VHDL. I of course actually completed it with flying colors. The entire class complained and he canceled the project the day it was due
so I got some crappy extra credit for it
I should've complained to the Dean actually
but i never did
it was way too hard for an entry level course

It's like the time Coinbase specifically said they won't be distributing Bitcoin Cash, so, if you want to get it, you need to move your coins off Bitcoin. I would through all the work to find a new place to safely store my coins. Then some idiots sued Coinbase for doing... literally what they told everyone they'd do and Coinbase caved.
