not all promote (free) market though
the ordoliberals did
probably the best known social-liberals
soc-dems are faggots, soc-lib are mild faggots
Soc-dems are against capitalism
yeah i don't think modern socdems are opposed to capitalism
most parties in britain are soc-dem
Green, lib-dems, Labour, SNP
girls only like boys who are kapitaliste
trust me
so you think the lib-dems are anti-capitalist?
"yeah I don't think"
the lib-dems are more concerned with equality than they are markets
muh fee fees
they call themselves social-liberals
and if you read their manifestos, they want to give everyone free access to university level education
**everyone**
so what
i mean what suggests that they are anti-capitalist
So they are soc-dems
yeah but you said that social democracy is anti-capitalist
because of free college?
why are you such a faggot @versterven ?
is it because you never got laid?
you sad, lonely incel
please don't go shoot up a school, because of your sexual frustrations
Ok.if we want to get into the history of the lib-dems they are split by lib-dems but a majority are soc-dems
they came out of the SDP
so a majority are opposed to capitalism
they merged with liberals, some call them orangebook libs
and if you look at the SDP it was ex-labour people
Roy Jenkins being the best example
would you say that tim farron, for example, is a socdem and therefore opposed to capitalism?
hmm
I'm not sure
would you agree with the characterization of countries like norway and sweden and finland as being social democracies?
nah, they just like welfare
and sweden has a cuck fetish
i mean if not it seems like you're using the term in a very idiosyncratic manner
like basically more or less if we look at how the term "social democrat" has been used in the past it did refer to movements that at least had the pretense of being marxist, but over time the term has taken on the meaning of describing a political position that is not necessarily anti-capitalist, generally today we would call the modern equivalent of old school socdems democratic socialists, whereas social democracy would just refer to people who still want to maintain liberal democracy and capitalism but are relatively left leaning and advocate for a strong social safety net and public ownership of key industries and such
