My parents were told by the school that I had ADHD, based on what I'm reading @radeon Essentially, the medication is used to increase dopamine, but it also increases the need for dopamine, so it creates it's own need to be used.

So when it's used wrongly, it just ends up making it so the kid needs it eventually even if they didn't need it to begin with.
