Sigh

2019-04-19 20:42:27 UTC

@DankMemez it seemed like organized religion attempted that some, but then they conflicted with each other. Additionally, I think that's much more practical in a smaller society, since people are naturally inclined to form smaller groups

I have listened to a lot of the thing that the Zeigeist Movement proposes and talks about, as well as the work of Peter Joseph, and they are correct about a lot of things, the only issue is, all of their proposals are routed in some kind of fundamental change in humanity, and they offer no clear pathway to get there.
I suggest you look into that, but it takes time to understand what they're saying, as its very extensive.

2019-04-19 20:43:29 UTC

personally, I hate the idea of communism, but if it were just me and 30 other people I'd known since I was born in a forest working to survive, I'm sure I wouldn't have any objection against doing what I can and getting what I need

2019-04-19 20:43:39 UTC

afaik it was used to disinfect. Then again, to be quite honest with you. If they wanted to kill them off systematically, gassing them is simply not a very cost effective set up.

2019-04-19 20:43:40 UTC

oh no we missed on from the nuremberg trials

2019-04-19 20:43:47 UTC

You can just shoot them and bury them en masse.

2019-04-19 20:43:59 UTC

also, humans are frequently naturally competitive, from a biological basis too, which causes problems in a society like that

2019-04-19 20:44:02 UTC

you clearly never made bullets before

2019-04-19 20:44:02 UTC

...or starve them

2019-04-19 20:44:09 UTC

as was the fate of many soviet PoW's

2019-04-19 20:44:10 UTC

and I would encourage everyone to stop making assumptions and jump to conclusions, because labeling something as communism or whatever, and then quickly dismissing it, is unwise. Instead, look at the actual proposals and solutions, and see if they check out

2019-04-19 20:44:27 UTC

@Tricerius @Budd Dwyer so what about surving documents, survivor testament, footage, and testament and American and Soviet soldiers who libertated the camps

2019-04-19 20:44:47 UTC

and while yes, I agree that in an ideal world we could function that way, however due to the state of humanity (from a biological/psychological standpoint) it isn't practical @DankMemez

2019-04-19 20:44:49 UTC

@Antiboom we are naturally one of the most socially cooperative species on the planet

2019-04-19 20:45:00 UTC

um

2019-04-19 20:45:01 UTC

@DankMemez to be fair, the principle expressed closely matched that of communism

2019-04-19 20:45:03 UTC

debatable

2019-04-19 20:45:06 UTC

@DankMemez yes, but only in small groups

2019-04-19 20:45:06 UTC

we literally have A LOT of trouble living completely alone

2019-04-19 20:45:10 UTC

ants are pretty cooperative

2019-04-19 20:45:14 UTC

^

2019-04-19 20:45:20 UTC

it's about group size, I'd say

2019-04-19 20:45:29 UTC

Also these weren't pows, most were ordinary citizens who happened to be jews

2019-04-19 20:45:35 UTC

ah yes, the darling heroes: America and the USSR

2019-04-19 20:45:38 UTC

about 100 people was the optimum amount

2019-04-19 20:45:49 UTC

German pows were actually treated quite well

2019-04-19 20:45:55 UTC

did the japanese not have concentration camps either??

2019-04-19 20:46:01 UTC

As long as they weren't Jewish that is

2019-04-19 20:46:01 UTC

if we were naturally competitive like that, you'd see humans behaving more like Cheetahs, rather than chimpanzees or meerkats

2019-04-19 20:46:07 UTC

or is it only when germans are involved

2019-04-19 20:46:34 UTC

We have actually evolved as hunters-gatherers in small nomadic tribes

2019-04-19 20:46:34 UTC

@DankMemez I was making my argument from the current state of humanity, in which case the only way to attain those principles would be through trying to force people to

2019-04-19 20:46:39 UTC

that is our natural proclivity

2019-04-19 20:46:48 UTC

@DankMemez and I'd argue we see humans acting more like ants but with smaller colonies

2019-04-19 20:46:56 UTC

or a similar animal

2019-04-19 20:47:03 UTC

sure, thats socially cooperative

2019-04-19 20:47:05 UTC

they work together very cooperatively, but will fuck each other up
