Some parties in Spain get quite some votes nationwide but it's so spread out they end up with no seats.

Meanwhile, "region-locked" parties get a bunch of seats with less votes because they actually represent their area.

Spain has 50 circumscriptions (provinces) and 2 independent cities (the 2 in Northern Africa). If Spain had a USA-like system, PSOE would win in FORTY THREE of them. 😭

Dividing the right was a huge mistake in Spain, they could've won if participating as ONE party. They have almost over 50% of the votes if added together.
