One of the big problems Sargon and other "skeptics" have if they want to move more into real world political activism (a move i think has to happen sooner or later) is a nut the skeptics are going to have a real hard time cracking, Their stance on religion is basically this "I don't have any problem with religion, or religious people as long as they 1. Don't talk about it in the public space, 2. Engage in no forms of evagalism or proselytization. 3. Never use their religion or associated life philosophies to make any descisions in their personal or professional lives especially pertaining to their children. 4. Do not attempt to do anything political involving their religion 5. Do not attempt to engage in any sort of academic discourse or gain a position of prominence in any academic institution. No matter how far detached from relgion the subject of their expertise may be. Yet somehow they still think "Bake the cake, bigot." is a bad thing.
