Well he was disbared, and needed to find a way to make income.
They also always telegraph their punches. Announcing where they will be protesting, when, and strive to be as inflamitory as possible.

If the permits are granted then the show up, and behave in a very inflamitory way. If they are assaulted that's multiple lawsuits.

They sue the person that assaulted them. Any group that person is associated with. Sue the group holding the event they are protesting for not controlling the crowd, and sue the city that granted the permit. Because the city KNEW they were going to be there, and when, but didn't provide sufficent security. As the WBC's reputation is known.
