I'm sure we all understand the desire to not be disowned by our families

2018-01-30 04:16:32 UTC

Feels good to be American

2018-01-30 04:21:41 UTC

Why the fuck am I thinking its Saturday today?

2018-01-30 04:21:58 UTC

Wishful thinking?

2018-01-30 04:22:21 UTC

I don't even know what day it is

2018-01-30 04:22:50 UTC

Monday

2018-01-30 04:22:56 UTC

Holy fuck

2018-01-30 04:26:33 UTC

It’s whatever day you want it to be

2018-01-30 04:26:57 UTC

Just cross out the name of the day on the calendar and write your own

2018-01-30 04:27:28 UTC

Weeks, days, and time are all social constructs.

2018-01-30 04:27:38 UTC

It’s true

2018-01-30 04:27:50 UTC

Why not create your own system to keep track of time

2018-01-30 04:28:05 UTC

Maybe someday it will be adopted by the rest of the world

2018-01-30 04:28:09 UTC

It feels like a Saturday to me

2018-01-30 04:28:46 UTC

All tools of the patriarchy and the bougiouse.

2018-01-30 04:29:40 UTC

Sort of like those people that say they see colors with certain words?

2018-01-30 04:29:55 UTC

It FEELS like Saturday, therefore it is

2018-01-30 04:30:18 UTC

It's been well established feels>reals

2018-01-30 04:31:41 UTC

And the system wouldn't be adopted by the rest of the works because it is all based on feeling, Brick.

2018-01-30 05:22:35 UTC

I'm thinking about work and I realized I don't think I've shared my experience with black women and their skin. I don't know what it is, if it's just a hygiene issue (since a lot of black women wear weaves and don't want to get it wet) or if it's their skin, but they leave a lot of dirty marks on sheets. And even on my hands as well. Sometimes it looks like I just changed a tire with how black the sheets and my hands get. And no matter how dirty or smelly someone of lighter skin is, they have never left black marks on the sheets. It's something I have yet to figure out. I'm not really sure what is it that causes that.

2018-01-30 05:23:16 UTC

The paint is rubbing off

2018-01-30 05:23:42 UTC

That could actuall be truer than you think, @Constantine .

2018-01-30 05:24:12 UTC

The power of melanin

2018-01-30 05:24:48 UTC

I was just speculating that maybe since they use a darker shade of makeup (for obvious reasons) that it shows up on the sheet more readily when it rubs off. As makeup is prone to do.

2018-01-30 05:25:15 UTC

But that's a generous, mundane, and non humorous answer to the problem.

2018-01-30 05:26:06 UTC

Reminds me of a story though.

2018-01-30 05:26:16 UTC

On their back?

2018-01-30 05:26:33 UTC

Could also be henna in their hair.

2018-01-30 05:26:48 UTC

It happens with some black men too. Not nearly as much as black women.

2018-01-30 05:27:28 UTC

Don't know what to tell you. Other than there is probably a fairly reasonable, and not as disgusting as we're all probably thinking explaination.

2018-01-30 05:27:50 UTC

Just trying to make your working day livable.

2018-01-30 05:28:28 UTC

So back around five years ago my dad almost died for the second time. He got a MRSA (drug resistant staph infection) in his lungs.

2018-01-30 05:28:58 UTC

Lol Sometimes it's hard. You wouldn't believe how many people don't care about being dirty and smelly. And when it's a 90 min session.

2018-01-30 05:29:32 UTC

He'd always been afraid of getting this. He never smoked, but since he was around thirty he developed asthma and generally has the lungs of a chain smoking coal miner.

2018-01-30 05:30:11 UTC

Yeah, what I always think is where to people who care so little for their hygiene get money for that kind of thing?

2018-01-30 05:31:13 UTC

So long story short he almost dies, has a long stay in the hospital, and is severely weakened. My brother and his wife were visiting when he got out of the hospital.
