I think I would be lost if my husband reposed. I can’t imagine after 41 years...halfway there and I just can’t imagine how difficult it would be. May your memories bring you joy and peace

A lot of what helped was we were on vacations and I would listen to a woman helping me out through videos she published on youtube. Patt would listen to them and it helped her understand what outside LDS was like. I always offered to wear headphones but neither of us liked them.

2019-04-01 17:07:13 UTC

Think I am doing better than most. But very very difficult for sure.

2019-04-01 17:09:25 UTC

Yehovah brings me joy and peace. I am so close to Yehovah I am never left alone.

I think the best way to share religious concerns is by living your life and as you did simply educating yourself. From a place of innocence for lack of a better word

Yes. That worked. I was very careful to not upset her. Just slowly see the pitfalls of the LDS church. In the end it was me pointing out how the Church was changing doctrine while lying they were not changing it. She saw the evil of lying about that.

2019-04-01 17:18:34 UTC

My parents and all my siblings (6) are still LDS. Two of my seven children are as well.

I think that as they see me cope with the loss of my wife it is making them question LDS. Why is he doing so well. How has this helped mim so much, leaving LDS.

the overall irony of this whole discussion is we're having it on april fool's day

2019-04-01 17:27:30 UTC

@Steve Angell
The Church changing doctrine is becoming evident to more and more people! Never espoused to the Church, never will.

@SirW00f
Are we the Fools?

2019-04-01 17:27:56 UTC

from out of the mouths of fools do we see true enlightenment

2019-04-01 17:28:29 UTC

True we can find truth if we look for it. Analyze what is said.

2019-04-01 17:29:48 UTC

There is one Universal Truth that I think we can agree upon.
We have been lied to in every part of our lives!

2019-04-01 17:31:33 UTC

the thing is for us to learn is to observe and be shown the lies for what they are as lies, not truth...not be shown a narrative of lies and call it truth

2019-04-01 17:32:18 UTC

i'm more trustful of science than of narratives of the msm news

2019-04-01 17:32:47 UTC

but the science programming of the msm is a lie in itself wrapped in the notions of truth

2019-04-01 17:33:12 UTC

science thru observations is the only truth

2019-04-01 17:33:30 UTC

but only first hand observations..not on tv

2019-04-01 17:33:50 UTC

action and reaction is the observable truth

2019-04-01 17:34:02 UTC

@SirW00f
I have become sceptical of any teachings
Ironic since I was a Teacher for many years.
I was teaching pure “bull-shit”
Sickens me!

2019-04-01 17:34:34 UTC

old saying - those that can, do...those that can't, teach

2019-04-01 17:34:48 UTC

Thanks, dude!

2019-04-01 17:35:13 UTC

it wasn't ment for those that can't do things ...it's ment for those too old to do anymore to do the teaching to those that can still do

2019-04-01 17:35:49 UTC

I worked in a factory for 15 years as a labourer, before getting into the teaching field.

2019-04-01 17:36:06 UTC

mastering skills and training apprentices to take over for them...that is what the meaning is for

2019-04-01 17:37:48 UTC

i have learned from masters..and created new skills on my own..while discovering the skills of other masters...for now i teach those that haven't learned anything yet of worth so they can pass on the knowledge to others when it's their time to share the information without the narrative trying to change it so it's a lie and not lived truth

2019-04-01 17:38:49 UTC

a lived lie is a life that has no meaning, but a lived truth has meaning and gives hopeful purpose to the next generation of lives

2019-04-01 17:39:22 UTC

great, i got me speaking in proverbs today

2019-04-01 17:39:59 UTC

well it is all fools day

2019-04-01 17:40:26 UTC

That was my goal when I was responsible for over 5,000 Grade 8 students over my career.
To give them tools and requisite knowledge to succeed in Life and to be Good citizens.

2019-04-01 17:41:48 UTC

well u have to ask urself this, are u a book teacher or a life lesson teacher with a book

2019-04-01 17:42:07 UTC

Easy, Life Lessons!

2019-04-01 17:42:25 UTC

failed a few college courses because i had teachers that were book teachers

2019-04-01 17:42:54 UTC

Books were bullshit too.
Hated using them.

2019-04-01 17:43:26 UTC

but later passed them on makeups when i went over their heads to show the head admins the books were full of shit when faced with reality of experience

2019-04-01 17:43:35 UTC

Would use many case studies with my students.
Real case scenarios.

2019-04-01 17:44:18 UTC

University books = Propoganda!

2019-04-01 17:44:21 UTC

ya...my old school teachers would have us do school projects based upon real case environments and not whats listed only in the books

2019-04-01 17:45:06 UTC

oh i actively avoid anything on english lit ...and anything that spawns off it like gender studies

2019-04-01 17:45:17 UTC

i stick to real science books
