If you go back and search you see modern churches are nothing like Christ taught

2019-04-01 16:49:35 UTC

Nothing like the church at Antioch

2019-04-01 16:50:03 UTC

@Mary Poppins
Agreed, we all know now that the Catholic Church
Worships Satan, And is Corrupted to its core!

2019-04-01 16:50:12 UTC

As I read the Old Testament the people never followed the prophets. Prophets were never from within the church, rather chosen from among the people. By the time of Jeremiah the people were taken to Babylon and Jeremiah was clear no true prophet was there. Just false prophets. Jeremiah the last true prophet as I see it.

Complete heretics

2019-04-01 16:51:02 UTC

But...I know Catholics that are seeing what Rome has taught and ate stepping back in horror

2019-04-01 16:51:38 UTC

There are many that will be redeemed when they dig deep personally on the history of the Roman Church

2019-04-01 16:53:49 UTC

I do like what Daniel wrote in chapter 2. God chooses all kings. All of them. Which makes me wonder what was the purpose of choosing Trump.

2019-04-01 16:53:56 UTC

@Steve Angell My husband and I have chatted about you, sounds odd I understand. However, my husband was raised LDS, missionary, first marriage in the temple. When he left he became apathetic to all of it.

2019-04-01 16:55:05 UTC

Religion destroys the soul

2019-04-01 16:56:50 UTC

Yes I went on a Mission to the area from Rhode Island up to Canada. I married in the Temple. When I left it was the only religion I knew. Had to throw out half of scripture. Started to see just how demonic LDS was. Realized the Holy Ghost really was a demonic spirit. Made me question the Bible.

2019-04-01 16:58:08 UTC

However I always knew God and was close to God, I now call Yehovah. I never hated the LDS Church though I did see it as demonic.

2019-04-01 17:00:15 UTC

Yes. He has had a similar experience. His ex wife is still LDS but his parents have passed and it’s difficult I think for him to reconcile that. Did your wife leave with you?

2019-04-01 17:00:38 UTC

I see the LDS as a wolf in sheep’s clothing

2019-04-01 17:01:56 UTC

No I was patient and for three years we differed but I never insisted she follow my footsteps. On occasion I would direct her to scripture to read and videos to watch. As she saw fit. She saw what I pointed out and then we were both out.

2019-04-01 17:02:20 UTC

We were very close till her death in January of this year.

2019-04-01 17:03:12 UTC

Any religion that proselytizes is going to get a sideways glance from me

2019-04-01 17:03:36 UTC

Indeed. Not the way to do it.

2019-04-01 17:03:48 UTC

I’m so sorry for your loss Steve. Memory eternal

2019-04-01 17:04:11 UTC

Yes 41 years of memory. Most of my life.

2019-04-01 17:05:20 UTC

I think I would be lost if my husband reposed. I can’t imagine after 41 years...halfway there and I just can’t imagine how difficult it would be. May your memories bring you joy and peace

2019-04-01 17:06:46 UTC

A lot of what helped was we were on vacations and I would listen to a woman helping me out through videos she published on youtube. Patt would listen to them and it helped her understand what outside LDS was like. I always offered to wear headphones but neither of us liked them.

2019-04-01 17:07:13 UTC

Think I am doing better than most. But very very difficult for sure.

2019-04-01 17:09:25 UTC

Yehovah brings me joy and peace. I am so close to Yehovah I am never left alone.

2019-04-01 17:11:08 UTC

I think the best way to share religious concerns is by living your life and as you did simply educating yourself. From a place of innocence for lack of a better word

2019-04-01 17:12:01 UTC
2019-04-01 17:15:34 UTC

Yes. That worked. I was very careful to not upset her. Just slowly see the pitfalls of the LDS church. In the end it was me pointing out how the Church was changing doctrine while lying they were not changing it. She saw the evil of lying about that.

2019-04-01 17:18:34 UTC

My parents and all my siblings (6) are still LDS. Two of my seven children are as well.

I think that as they see me cope with the loss of my wife it is making them question LDS. Why is he doing so well. How has this helped mim so much, leaving LDS.

2019-04-01 17:27:20 UTC

the overall irony of this whole discussion is we're having it on april fool's day

2019-04-01 17:27:30 UTC

@Steve Angell
The Church changing doctrine is becoming evident to more and more people! Never espoused to the Church, never will.

2019-04-01 17:27:49 UTC

@SirW00f
Are we the Fools?

2019-04-01 17:27:56 UTC

from out of the mouths of fools do we see true enlightenment

2019-04-01 17:28:29 UTC

True we can find truth if we look for it. Analyze what is said.

2019-04-01 17:29:48 UTC

There is one Universal Truth that I think we can agree upon.
We have been lied to in every part of our lives!

2019-04-01 17:31:33 UTC

the thing is for us to learn is to observe and be shown the lies for what they are as lies, not truth...not be shown a narrative of lies and call it truth

2019-04-01 17:32:18 UTC

i'm more trustful of science than of narratives of the msm news

2019-04-01 17:32:47 UTC

but the science programming of the msm is a lie in itself wrapped in the notions of truth

2019-04-01 17:33:12 UTC

science thru observations is the only truth

2019-04-01 17:33:30 UTC

but only first hand observations..not on tv

2019-04-01 17:33:50 UTC

action and reaction is the observable truth

2019-04-01 17:34:02 UTC

@SirW00f
I have become sceptical of any teachings
Ironic since I was a Teacher for many years.
I was teaching pure “bull-shit”
Sickens me!
