@missliterallywho White Nationalist is a better term than Neo nazi or White Supremacist. But only a bit, the issue isn't so much the term itself, rather the people associated with it. The term White Nationalist emerged as 1.0 was trying to present something of a better image in the 90's, however it failed and a lot of spergs started using the term, ruining it for everybody else.

@⚡Clark⚡ American race blind civic nationalism is a late 20th century concept, that would,be completely alien to most Americans throughout 90% of American history. It's an aesthetic change not idealogical. Good understandable and relatable aesthetics are essential for any political movement or organization

Changing our name at this point I disagree with immensely. We’re established at the level of causing international outrage as “Identity Evropa” with the Mexican consulate thing like Mrs said. IE has heft. Changing our name isn’t a good call imo

@ThisIsChris It's actually surprising how little people care. Everyone who knows me well knows what I believe and I don't get a lot of push back.

When IE first came out, there were plenty of articles identifying us as the successor of National Youth Front. They don't talk about it anymore because they have better things to smear us with, but it's not a secret that we came out of NYF. Anyone can find this information on Google.

@Virgil I get that WN 1.0 sullied the term in the 90s. My point was that I had no knowledge of that when I entered the movement, so the term was not sullied to me. I can't be the only person for whom this is true. Not saying we should call ourselves WN, just that to a lot of young normies the term doesn't invoke the images it does to older people and political obsessives like us and hardcore leftists.

I joined IE after seeing the posters two years ago and I immediately got it. If I saw some posters about how cool America is, I'd have been like "eh, another civnat group" and kept on walking.

Furthermore with a more normie friendly name we can conduct business much more easily. Venues will be much less suspicious of us if we had an optical name. Plus it would be symbolic of the normalization of our organization
