It's my preworkout
I was already in IE for a while when Charlottesville happened. But I lived with my parents and that would be quite the explaining to do. And I didn't have money to blow. Which is still don't, which is why I don't go to national events.
I remember last winter me and a guy in the TN chapter would hook up the big speakers at his house and blast the audio from the torch march after some European style consumption of beverages
Good times
@Sam Southern - TN hell yeah
If the torch march had happened in isolation then it would be cool. But now it's just the prelude to when our movement started falling apart.
@Sam Southern - TN Do you have a good audio file?
I never IDed as “alt right” lol my movement didn’t fall apart @ThisIsChris
@Jacob he does, I’ll ask at the next meetup
@ThisIsChris To be fair, I did have a lot of College Republicans tell me that the torches alone were bad optics. But I don't know how much of that was just them saying it to signal.
@Sam Southern - TN Thanks
@Sam Southern - TN by fall apart I mean "all the bad things that have happened to IE"
@Jacob yeah maybe torches were a little too kkk-ish
Growing pains on the path to our current status as the only legitimate nationalist movement on the dissident right
@ThisIsChris Are hash tables harder than linked lists?
Because I need to learn them really fast
I honestly thought the optics of the torch march were amazing.
@Jacob they are more like constant-time access arrays except of an integer index you have a hash function create a number out of a key and that gives you the integer for the constant-time access
@Asatru Artist - MD heavy avow
Anti-torches is codeword for anti-white
linked list is code word for complicated
@Jacob linked lists are easy to implement but take longer to access the elements
It's complicated when you're new to it 😕
Maybe for you yanks it’s different, down here the torches were fine. Obviously the cosmopolitans will say what they do, but for der normie the torches were fine
one guy told me we should have used candles
Churchy for sure
@Jacob that does sound more audience friendly
Torches looked bad ass to the people we want to appeal to. Would have looked even better without roman saluting autists and that one shirtless guy holding a beer the whole time
ehhhhhhhhhh
using candles would have been like a funeral vigil
I like the torches more than the candles same
like we're mourning that all hope is lost
better to use nothing than candles
Technically weren’t y’all “mourning” the loss of the statue?
I mean I guess but it would look defeatist
Afaik the rally was about the confederate statue being taken down. It turned into more than that obviously, but it started because of the statue
@ThisIsChris how long should it take me to figure out hash tables?
I feel like I've done them in the past
The energy that night was far from mournful
