If I started a go fund me to try and rectify being evicted to being jobless and denied unemployment, is there a channel I could post it on here to ask others to share it, not donate necessarily, just share it?

Nope. Falls under rule 3.

2020-11-16 03:30:50 UTC

But you could DM it to folks privately, and ask them to pass it along.

I would just be careful of sending it to random people, because youll just make people angry. if you ask people during a conversation, youll get better results, and if you talk with them and they like you theyd be a lot more willing to try to help you out.

Conservatives are all about small government but I feel like while Conservative legislators legislate and Judges Judge,Conservative presidents do way more than just enforce.

2020-11-17 05:58:41 UTC

My question is,Which would be good for the country in the long term,A Republican president that is basically a dictatorship lite that slashes regulations and writes a ton of EOs with dismantling the alphabet soup and costly entitlement programs or a Republican that just listens to Congress and Supreme Court and leaves a lot of power to both other branches and states while just sitting back and JUST enforce.

@isoboto thank you

2020-11-17 06:20:54 UTC

Shit, didnt notice my dad joke was posted here.

2020-11-17 06:56:49 UTC

Well the jurisdiction of those regulations and alphabet soup was used by previous presidents.

2020-11-17 06:57:21 UTC

Dismantling or removing them would basically be taking away power from himself anyways.

2020-11-17 07:00:23 UTC

No matter how much I might try to disagree with the very principle of non-enforcement by the president, he has that power that would be difficult to take away nowadays, and he may as well use it for good.

@DeathBone

I think the aspect of EOโ€™s is new, due to Obama deciding to expand the powers of the executive branch with it. I think overall itโ€™s been bad. Bad with Obama, bad with Trump. That being said I donโ€™t think a President needs to write EOโ€™s to block funding to the alphabet soup of social programs. Instead, they just need to use the veto powers theyโ€™ve had to force the hand to lessen spending for the social programs. Also, leaving the Supreme Court to rule on constitutional issues is the way it should be. ACA challenges would be nice to see in the house or senate, but Iโ€™m fine if it is ruled unconstitutional in the Supreme Court.

When was the party switch

2020-11-17 17:31:07 UTC

Well for one, the party switch never happened.

2020-11-17 19:20:55 UTC

Executive Orders definitely arent new. FDR issued over 3,000 EOs during his reign.
