New paint and chicken wire on the old kevlar helmet. Ready to defend the Normandy coastline or neighborhood. Which ever comes first.
Nice i just need to camouflage my stahlhelm
@A Person Another option if you're looking for short range but low recoil options is to use mini shells. They've got the same muzzle velocity as full length shells, but don't quite have the reach. The tradeoff of course is that they're much lower recoil.
@Diabeł Boruta Is a fabric cover an option, or do you prefer the chicken wire?
I prefer chicken wire because I have a lot of chicken wire
Fair enough.
You planning on adding grit to the paint or just use matte finish?
I May add concrete to it
Good luck.
Don't forget to invest in yourself when preparing for the collapse
you will only go as faar as your mind lets you
start reading and work out atleast once a week
Been working on that, doing okay on weights, but really needed to hit the cardio.

Too bad white people are the only race you can legally discriminate against

#SIGMA no I am white but I have two adopted black brothers so technically I can make fun about black people because I have black family ,funny thing is my brother's identity as " white supremacist" because the are pro white conservatives.
Thinking about purchasing a binary trigger system for my AK and given recent events dosen't sound like a bad idea

@RazorBlackBlade Spend that money on training tbh
Lots of stabby and shooty tools 😎
Quick buy. Testing what works and what doesn't.
Most of it will be replaced in the future (assuming we have a future) but for now I'm just reconstructing a combination bushcraft/Army bag
Experimentation is the best way to iron out your system
Admittedly, I need to do that more with mine
True. I haven't used my survival training since 05 😑
At the time I was using crappy hand me down army gear at Ft Benning
Wish I had any real survival training. Closest I get to that is boy scout camping from a long time ago, and nobody around here I know of offers any classes
I know some basic stuff like how to start a fire and I can build a shelter, but more bushcrafty stuff, trapping, foraging for food, stuff like that? I'm screwed
Even with just the boy scout training, you'll last longer than any Urbanite 🤣
Bush craft and basic survival wise I learned a bit from Zachery Fowlers 30 day survival challenge and Corporals Corner on YouTube. They do survival series and teach you tips and tricks.
I'll have to check them out and practice some of their stuff
I live in a subdivision but I'm close enough to some places that I can go practice on weekends
I plan on doing some dry fire/ indoor rifle training, too. No tactical rifle courses out here either but there's still plenty of drills
can we talk about the tacticle shovel?
It's just a Walmart knock off of the Army shovel. I REALLY want this one...
Cant ever go wrong with a standard issue etool. Every military surplus store has them
Indeed, got one that I think might be old German, it's still got the wood handle and the like, but it feels like it could probably stop some pistol calibers.
You guys have any tips for a young, greenhorn prepper currently living with their folks (as much as I hate to admit it) in a suburban area?
