why do all preppers instincts tell them to get away from the safety of their homes, c'mon man, you got a roof over your head, just install a wooden stove to heat your house and cook, why spend money and effort to just go away from all that to live in some forrest where you will spend a couple days looking for clean water and animals to eat that you will never find, you will end up killing yourself
it would still make more sense to build/inforce and equip your basement so withstand a nuclear blast and the fallout
