I've got $60 to my name

2020-09-04 02:10:17 UTC

Yeah they're expensive. A bit too expensive for the alloy of choice

2020-09-04 02:10:21 UTC

Yeah lol

2020-09-04 02:10:24 UTC

But fuck, thats a good knife

2020-09-04 02:10:32 UTC

Yeah I'll bet

2020-09-04 02:10:49 UTC

You're paying like 120, 130 for what should be a 90 dollar knife but it's solid

2020-09-04 02:11:24 UTC

πŸ˜…

2020-09-04 02:11:41 UTC

Once my family moves to Idaho it will be easier for me to stock up on everything

2020-09-04 02:11:46 UTC

No background checks for ammo

2020-09-04 02:12:18 UTC

Guns are faster acquired because of no 10 day waiting period

2020-09-04 02:12:39 UTC

I've got a 10/22

2020-09-04 02:12:42 UTC

But that's it

2020-09-04 02:22:20 UTC

I bought a lot of cool shit before they started instituting a lot more in the way of restrictions over the last 2, 3 years

2020-09-04 02:22:37 UTC

My rifle, I got very lucky with

2020-09-04 02:35:37 UTC

What caliber?

2020-09-04 03:10:22 UTC

7.62x39

2020-09-04 03:11:29 UTC

Cool cool

2020-09-05 22:06:50 UTC

Question, has anyone here added a lockpick set to their bugout bag? Nothing fancy, just a few rakes and shims to get past most standard locks.

2020-09-05 22:10:19 UTC

I haven't

2020-09-05 22:40:56 UTC

I suppose it all depends on local laws concerning lock picks, here they're only a problem if you get caught in the commission of a crime and have them with you, then they get added on to the charges as being in possession of burglary tools.

i'm trying to check 'dual band handheld radios' off my never ending list of SHTF gear. i'll probably play with them a bit(no transmissions, i know),, then put them up incase of emergencies unless i enjoy it as hobby and decide to get license, etc. i figured baofengs would be fine for me. I've been looking at UV-5's and UV-82's.. I've looked Yaesu's but don't want to spend that much really. could upgrade later if its something i enjoy doing. will probably upgrade antennas and get p-t-t system with port for ear piece and mic. was curious if anyone here knows about this stuff and if they have any recommendations/advice.

2020-09-06 08:00:08 UTC

decided on BF8HP.

2020-09-06 21:15:33 UTC

@Scott_Cole yes I have a small lock pick set in my bob.

2020-09-06 21:16:09 UTC

I practice with it as much as I can. I can do master locks and other pad locks pretty easily. But door locks are a bit harder

2020-09-06 21:47:50 UTC

@[TDE] Smokie Likewise, I can get a padlock open pretty quick, but I got some practice locks to work on to get better with doors.

2020-09-06 21:48:14 UTC

Yeah. I need practice locks for doors

2020-09-06 21:48:22 UTC

I have multiple pad locks

2020-09-06 21:48:28 UTC

0 door locks. Lol

2020-09-06 21:48:49 UTC

Might just take one apart and do it myself... idk. Door locks are Hella hard

2020-09-08 00:58:31 UTC

I used to dink around with lockpicking. Its fun. But the real tools for entry are, and always will be a hammer, a drill, a crowbar, a sawsall, and an angle grinder with a cut off wheel.

2020-09-08 01:00:27 UTC

Also having a keychain full of common keys for luggage compartments and such, as well as a shim kit.

2020-09-08 01:01:44 UTC

Been watching alot of rioters and how they approach security measures. They seem to be the largest concern behind meth heads.

2020-09-09 00:58:58 UTC

Problem would be lugging around such things in a bugout bag. In most cases, an open window or soft entry point will always be ideal, but having a small kit of shims, rakes, and a bypass knife is going to be lighter and take up less room than tools that, while more effective, are also much more cumbersome.

2020-09-09 19:23:33 UTC

Ya I’d think a bolt cutter would be both more effective and time efficient. Something you could snap off easily if you needed to get away quickly.

2020-09-13 01:26:38 UTC

A machete is ideal for every situation, also pretty badass

2020-09-13 01:30:55 UTC

yeah.. especially if you need to cut a pie

2020-09-13 02:57:22 UTC

Or pizza.

2020-09-13 17:18:57 UTC

or commies

@Scott_Cole don’t need em as long as you can make explosives
