My rifle, I got very lucky with
What caliber?
7.62x39
Cool cool
Question, has anyone here added a lockpick set to their bugout bag? Nothing fancy, just a few rakes and shims to get past most standard locks.
I haven't
I suppose it all depends on local laws concerning lock picks, here they're only a problem if you get caught in the commission of a crime and have them with you, then they get added on to the charges as being in possession of burglary tools.
i'm trying to check 'dual band handheld radios' off my never ending list of SHTF gear. i'll probably play with them a bit(no transmissions, i know),, then put them up incase of emergencies unless i enjoy it as hobby and decide to get license, etc. i figured baofengs would be fine for me. I've been looking at UV-5's and UV-82's.. I've looked Yaesu's but don't want to spend that much really. could upgrade later if its something i enjoy doing. will probably upgrade antennas and get p-t-t system with port for ear piece and mic. was curious if anyone here knows about this stuff and if they have any recommendations/advice.
decided on BF8HP.
@Scott_Cole yes I have a small lock pick set in my bob.
I practice with it as much as I can. I can do master locks and other pad locks pretty easily. But door locks are a bit harder
@[TDE] Smokie Likewise, I can get a padlock open pretty quick, but I got some practice locks to work on to get better with doors.
Yeah. I need practice locks for doors
I have multiple pad locks
0 door locks. Lol
Might just take one apart and do it myself... idk. Door locks are Hella hard
I used to dink around with lockpicking. Its fun. But the real tools for entry are, and always will be a hammer, a drill, a crowbar, a sawsall, and an angle grinder with a cut off wheel.
Also having a keychain full of common keys for luggage compartments and such, as well as a shim kit.
Been watching alot of rioters and how they approach security measures. They seem to be the largest concern behind meth heads.
Problem would be lugging around such things in a bugout bag. In most cases, an open window or soft entry point will always be ideal, but having a small kit of shims, rakes, and a bypass knife is going to be lighter and take up less room than tools that, while more effective, are also much more cumbersome.
Ya I’d think a bolt cutter would be both more effective and time efficient. Something you could snap off easily if you needed to get away quickly.
A machete is ideal for every situation, also pretty badass
yeah.. especially if you need to cut a pie
Or pizza.
or commies

@Scott_Cole don’t need em as long as you can make explosives
> or commies
@Evelyn S. 🇺🇸 I second this
Lol
@DontBeAnIdgit Seems to me kicking down a door or shooting off a lock would be less time consuming.
but where’s the fun?
Kicking down the door is fun because you get to yell FBI/KGB OPEN UP!!!
Just make sure to kick right next to the doorknob, otherwise the coolness is offset by your foot going through the door and getting stuck.
> @Scott_Cole don’t need em as long as you can make explosives
@DontBeAnIdgit Just make sure it's the right explosives, don't try for TATP, at least not if you want to keep all of your limbs.
I don’t think the KGB yell they just shoot through the door @ThiccSpicyGenderRevealParty
@DontBeAnIdgit fair enough
Anyway in another server I’m in, someone posted the chemical ingredients for Chlorine gas and now I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do with that information
Even though it was broadcasted on the news a while back
Thats pretty easy to make
And it's pretty easy to get killed by what you just made
