Many gun companies just don't make em like they used to. Reminds me of cars

2020-10-11 19:09:56 UTC

mods can i post the video of said coilgun?

2020-10-11 19:11:01 UTC

I’ll allow it

2020-10-11 19:11:10 UTC

yay

2020-10-11 19:11:23 UTC

They really don’t my granddad on my dads side he has a Belgium browning he bought it when it was brand new and man that’s a pretty gun wood stock semi auto chambered in 30-06

2020-10-11 19:11:44 UTC

I want to see this coilgun

2020-10-11 19:12:17 UTC

My granddad on my moms side tells me that my love of guns will only get me in trouble

2020-10-11 19:12:25 UTC

I've used some old Remington 870 shotguns that were smooth as glass and the fit and finish on them was outstanding. Brand new ones are pretty rough

2020-10-11 19:12:38 UTC

while it is more powerful then say, airsoft and airguns,

2020-10-11 19:12:56 UTC

im not sure if its any more powerful then say, a normal firearm

2020-10-11 19:13:22 UTC

although that might have something to do with how they're just powering it with LiPo batteries

2020-10-11 19:14:10 UTC

Its difficult to get a power source with enough juice to fire a sustained volume of rounds while still being portable enough to be used in a small arm

2020-10-11 19:14:19 UTC

yeah

2020-10-11 19:14:38 UTC

Fortunately, we live in an interesting time where the research into this for EVs might eventually trickle down into coilguns

2020-10-11 19:14:52 UTC

i believe just one of the coil segments is already 3.24 lbs

2020-10-11 19:15:06 UTC

Damn

2020-10-11 19:16:01 UTC

Two of those is almost the weight of my unloaded Kalash

2020-10-11 19:16:14 UTC

jeez

2020-10-11 19:17:45 UTC

However, we must continue R&D on these because the current legal definition of a firearm doesn't cover coilguns

2020-10-11 19:18:20 UTC

Just shot a Tavor. Its also the first bullpup I ever shot. I am normally left handed but had to shoot it right handed so the casing didnt hit my chin

2020-10-11 20:46:18 UTC

2020-10-11 20:47:35 UTC

2020-10-11 23:22:20 UTC

@HUNTER4639 Had a guy in another server try to tell me that .380 is too small

2020-10-11 23:22:40 UTC

Told him that nobody is going to decide their next course of action based on the caliber of your defensive handgun

2020-10-11 23:31:20 UTC

🤣 👆

2020-10-11 23:46:18 UTC

i was on Colts website looking at 1911's and for caliber i selected 45 and for state compliance i chose CA and guess what? it said "no matching items found" lmao

2020-10-11 23:51:42 UTC

@ThatShadyVandal @HUNTER4639 they assume every fight you’re going to get into is with a 250 lbs enraged meth head who you need to put down immediately. I’ve been told the same by a guy about 9mm who exclusively uses .40s&w & constantly refers to the FBI shoot out in Miami that prompted them to switch from 9mm to .40 s&w

2020-10-11 23:53:14 UTC

And in that circumstance, shoot as many times as you have to to neutralize the threat

2020-10-11 23:53:29 UTC

<:KEK:726877368601411624> bro they should just go .45 if they're so concerned xd
