I got it downloaded on mine, but I can't locate hers, so I'll ask her when she comes home. It's an iPad 2, so I don't have a clue if it can download the app in the first place.

The process should be as simple as other iOS devices, I think (idk because I don't use Apple devices anymore), but the main issue is urgency because Apple gave a 24-hour ultimatum that if Parler doesn't censor free speech (essentially), Parler gets nuked from the App Store, and then you're completely fucked on iOS.

Not all of Section 230 is bad. If someone using a platform says something crazy, the platform shouldn't be liable for that. However, Section 230 does have a statement that allows for censorship in "good faith" which needs to be removed.

There is also the option someone brought up of having SCOTUS interpret Section 230 in a way favorable to those who oppose censorship.

If they are going to go down the strict censorship route, then fine, but they need to lose the immunity from lawsuits for what appears on their sites. That no longer is a platform, which 230 protects, but a publishing entity. Big Tech has crossed that line. I generally agree with the concept of 230, but they no longer deserve it
