Again, already agree with you, so that'd be kind of against the grain, no?
@TaLoN132 yeah, the trump tower meeting Russians were sent by Perkins Cole. Also been proven and documented.
It was a setup
Why is Discord sending me emails about a conversation I'm actively involved in?
I find all this to be BS. The senate isn't just some compromise, it is what allowed the union to grow. Why would any small state want to join a union where there is a correlated disparity in ideologies that results in some massive ideological group far away to dictate local rules?
Would you want china to become the 51st state?
It's only democracy after all!
Nevermind that their ideologies would vastly destroy you locally
I fear DC becoming a state!
Judicial activism is against the founders intent
The move to make DC a state is a move by the democrat party to solidify such an advanced position ahead of republicans that it means there is basically a one-party system.
It is not self consistent
The democrats frequently try to do this with various things.
Lowering the voting age, etc.
Saying that the senate and EC explains judicial activism is 🤮
Guess we are moving on again.
The senate and EC are there for a good -and separate- reason
Congress being at a standstill is also the founders intent
@realz, you just advanced to level 9!
That was the point
To get things done you have to convince people
Electoral College.
More than just 51%
DUH??? Color my face red.
More than 51% for a day
Abolish the EC and congrats, you have a one party system.
Congress being at a standstill does not justify introducing bad faith (and in effect dictatorial powers) to a 9umvirate
@realz The Founders were also very weary of generational wealth and the potential for it leading to corruption. The issue with Congress is a complicated one. I understand the need to protect the interests of smaller states, but it is causing problems.
Ok then break up the union
There is no need for CA to experiment with the entire country
Let CA experiment with CA
It's already doing that.
It is not causing problems
The problem is that CA wants to implement the things it wants at the federal level
Without even trying it locally
CA is not the bastion of evil that it is portrayed to be...
I'm not saying it is
I mean, it's not doing too well if I recall.
If CA wants universal healthcare, they are free to try it
I endorse their attempt
